    Need flex help.

    Giovani Bernard or Greg Jennings?

Footballguys.com is telling me to go with Jennings, but I'm more inclined to give Bernard a shot.

I have been saying all preseason that I don't trust Giovani Bernard. He is a lightweight, shifty back, in his rookie year, in a time share. I don't care if Marvin Lewis himself says we are going to give Bernard the goal line carries, or put him in different positions, move him around, I still have to see it to believe it.

Most of the time, all this kind of hype, is gamesmanship on the part of coaches to scheme and then use as a decoy. IE, look at Dexter Mccluster as an example.

You have to be ELITE (like Chris Johnson elite) for it to work. Even Reggie Bush himself flopped for the first 3 or 4 years of his career.

How often does SF allow rushing TDs?

Exactly why I am going Sproles over Lacy at Flex.

Honestly, I am looking at a couple of things: Lacy is by farrrr more talented than redman. Redman shouldn't even be in this conversation really. Secondly, Lacy IS the lead back in greenbay, which can't be said for Bradshaw: Vic Ballard.

That was my thought process. However, you brought up the fact that Lacy has SF; true. But sf has its hands full with AR and that powerful wr core. Lacy has the edge in my opinion because of all this.

Is it an idea matchup? No. But your other backs are pretty much trash at this point.

True. I guess I'll go with Lacy. Thanks.

Alright, guys. Here's an embarrassing conundrum: Roddy White.

Adam Schefter says he is going to play, but NBC Sports has said it's 80-20 that he won't. Regardless, it sounds like he won't be an effective start today (despite New Orleans' league-worst defense) and Julio Jones will be getting touches.

I had him starting in the FLEX (Jordy Nelson and AJ Green are my other starters). Instead of White, I could start DeAndre Hopkins (hate the idea of starting a rookie), Vick Ballard (only plus is garbage time against Oakland, a safe bet against) and Zach Sudfeld (lots of preseason hype and one of Tom Brady's targets against Buffalo, whom he always wrecks).

    Thanks, guys.

So you want to bench a top 5 fantasy WR?

Haha, it's a tough call. If he plays, you play him, there will be a lot of points scored and if he's playing, he'll be good enough to catch passes.

If he doesn't, go with Sudfeld, huge upside there against an easy defense.

Ha, that's why I'm embarrassed. I know it's a silly question, but if this ankle sprain really is enough to make him "80-20 to not play" 90 minutes before the game, it must be serious (given that he's never missed a game). I'll just start him, leave Sudfeld on the bench and then hope from a big game from the latter so I can trade him.

FWIW, I have White and I'm playing him over guys like Thompkins, Boldin, James Jones.

Edit: falcons say that he's starting so.... start him haha

Should I offer a counter or straight up decline?

    I have:
    wilson
    rice/jackson/mendenhall/pierce/powell
    Fitz/White/Nicks/Jones/Boldin/Thompkins
    Davis

    He has
    big ben
    Cobb/D Thomas/ AJ Green/Jennings/D Moore
    Lynch/Wilson/Ivory
    Rudolph/Finley

I agree to start White but over Thompkins could be risky too. Patriots will light the Bills up, Bills have some defenders sitting out cause of injury too. So unless you think Amendola will take all the catches, Thompkins should be worth a start. But Roddy has more overall upside, being the guy he is.

I would counter. Do something like Jackson/Nicks for Wilson/AJ Green.
    Worst case he rejects.

It's a risk either way. With my luck, the guy I bench will go off :p

I would go with Redman, he is the starting RB for the Steelers, at least till Leveon Bell gets healthy, so I think Redman will get nice touches.

any other week I would pick Lacy but not against SF rushing defense.

Starting to second guess starting Ryan Matthews over Lance Moore. Lance has had great success against Atlanta but Matthews is the starting RB but he's playing Houston. Ahhh idk what to do.

He rejected before the nyg vs cowboys game started. I'm sure he's having second thoughts now

If you can get him cheap, it might not be a bad idea. Pick up Scott as well and you should have the NY Giants starter.
S-Jax also didn't impress. Got a lot of work, but I was expecting more, especially a TD with all the red zone work he got.

Boldin/Jackson for Wilson/AJ Green would be interesting. Gotta find a spot to pick up Scott in that case though.

Yeah. Boldin was insane today. Maybe I'll jump on that. I could drop pierce for scott.
