What is funny is you think UT hammers TAMU 90% of the time. Rivalry is 17-16 since 1980 in TAMU's favor.

If you cut those years in half, 1980-1996, 1997-2013, you would see why the rivalry has been close since 1980.

I wonder if John Gruden would have any interest should Mack be done after the season?

Not really sure who we would go for if Mack left. Not disappointed at all that Muschamp is gone. He's overrated. His fire is just very likable.

Sorry for sounding noobish, but is there any traction to this Saban to Texas thing? He basically has to do nothing and his name can be mentioned in the same breath as Bear Bryant. Why leave?

hell no there's no traction to it. UT-Austin branch can't get somebody of that caliber. Their last two coaches have come from UNC and Illinois Urbana Champaign. Not exactly title contenders there...

Considering we have the most valuable program in college fb it's something that could be accomished for the right amount of money. Realistically though I would love us to go after Spurrier

If you were "Smart", you'd go after Kirby Smart.

    Lolz.

Alabama will just increase his pay to however much he wants. Plus, his wife loves Tuscaloosa so there's no leaving any time soon. You might want to start with plan B.

Texas is not going after Saban. And Saban has no reason to come to Texas. He has a great thing going at Alabama. If he leaves, it will be for the NFL.

Because we hadn't won a recent national championship and weren't the most valuable the last time we were searching for a head coach?
