It's just an ongoing ClutchFans joke any time someone mentions a female. I don't think Swoly is a pedo, but you never know lol
If this storyline is true, this girl already has plenty of crap going on without having her photo passed around on the internet.
There is nothing controversial or provocative about the it. Hell, I purposely avoided Spring ISD and made sure my kids were in Conroe ISD. My initial reaction was to the vague generalizations about "north Houston" and horrible predisposed conclusions made from ethnicity. This could have happened anywhere. To blame an area or region or culture on this act is pathetic, blind and idiotic.
I know the joke. In this case, it ain't funny. And there are some scary schools in Conroe ISD, too. My mother worked at Travis and Peete Jr. High for years. Travis was pretty bad. Washington Jr. High was worse. Conroe High had some issues back in the day. Then again, I have friends from McCullough High (now The Woodlands High) that were involved in the gay bashing incident back in the early 90's. We (McCullough) were also consistently rated in the top 3 nationally for drug use. Every school and district has the potential for problems. Doesn't matter where it is. Some more than others but no one is immune.
FUNNY. I thought I had responded already in regards to the questions of minors or the pictures. I thought I had responded, but... yes, I shouldn't have asked. I apologize. I didn't mean it to be funny... now, the criminals, those are wackos in EVERY sense of the word. I meant to say: "what if they're ALL non-minors"? It was in my cache: That is STILL generalizing. There are EXCELLENT SCHOOLS everywhere. Y'all love these statistics and making them a self-fulfilling prophecy by continuing to go by them.
i was thinking anytime theres an area and in the center of that area are a handful of $1+ million homes, then everything that follows with money makes it resistant.. memorial is in the middle of a metro but since it is all million dollar homes its resistant
River Oaks isn't resistant. Look at Lamar High School. That's where my child would have to attend public high school and in no way would I allow that. It would be private school all the way.
Police now say it was gang related. http://www.chron.com/news/houston-t...tabbing-at-Spring-High-4789221.php?cmpid=hpfc
My friend had hit someone with a bat, lightly. The dude came back and shot to kill. Luckily we had just jumped a 7ft fence, and just hit his leg and thumb. Don't **** with people you don't know. Sucker punched him ehh?
Kind of cool. *A lot of my spring high class of 1991 Facebook friends changed their profile pictures to a 22+ year old school photo in response.
And yet, 2 of my best friends went to Lamar...and then Harvard and Trinity. The one that went to Harvard has her law degree. The one that went to Trinity has her masters from Harvard. They are not from River Oaks.
Yeah, I don't understand that either. Part of growing up is being out of your element, exposed to new and different things.
Wow, I didn't know Spring HS didn't already have metal detectors. By the way, Bishop James Dixon who is heading up this brilliant coalition with the district was accused of assaulting his wife back in 2010. http://www.khou.com/news/Rev-James-Dixon-accused-of-assaulting-wife-82818157.html
This surprises me. I graduated from Lamar in the mid '80s and it was a good school then. I've moved and haven't been back to Houston in over 15 years, but I have wealthy friends still living in the city (who could definitely afford to pay for private school) sending their kids to Lamar right now.
According to multiple law enforcement agencies, multiple shots were fired during a memorial for a Spring High School student who was stabbed to death last week. Investigators said at least 8 shots were fired by an unknown person. A memorial was being held for Joshua Broussard at Spring Baptist Church. Broussard was killed during a knife fight at Spring High School last week. Investigators say a fight broke out towards the end of the memorial service. The fight started inside the church and then quickly escalated outside. So far there have been no reports of any injuries.
