Also makes sense that Gilligan would want us to think exactly that. And zag when we zig.

Pshhh, amateur. Sounds like you never been in a shoot out before. Ha! Loser. That's how most are, lots of missed shots.

I fired something like 100 rounds for every hit while deployed. Its a lot tougher then you think.

Yep. They need/want Walt. If they thought he was in danger, they'd come even if he told him not to. They only care about him cooking for them, not whatever his goals or wishes are.

Of course, if they care so much about keeping Walt safe, why aren't they taking more care to not shoot up the SUV he's sitting in?

Maybe they don't hold Jesse hostage but force him to cook because he's the only other person that can make the meth blue. Again all Walt's fault that Jesse ends up getting screwed.

but it was like eight guys, already aimed in at less than 50 yrds.

And yes, I've shot M-16s before in the Army. Aimed in like that, I'd expect the first round to hit a fully exposed torso. but let's not derail the thread.

These last two episodes Marie was wearing black making me think maybe she was going to die. But nope it most likely will be Hank.

I had a 240G. Its different when they're shooting back. You flinch. You over compensate. Firing at paper targets is different. I was a 5x rifle and pistol expert, but when **** is hittin the fan and bullets are kicking up around you...

If you haven't been in a shootout before, you wouldn't get it. If you hit torso in a combat situation, then you are one of the best shots in the army, make a career out of it.

On a side note, can anyone put that last shootout on YouTube? Gave me a rush, would like to see it again.

Far be it from me to argue with veterans on the matter, but what about the already-aimed-in factor?

pfft...This show isn't about the shoes. You're behind.

It's about the blue dress, when she was complaining about the blue color. They barely showed the shoes. It would be funny if it is a Lydia Bright blue dress, but those are two frilly and cheap for our Lydia.

I'll get back to you when I see a HD download replay. But I might be able to name the blue dress, in a second look.

One dude had a shotgun that wouldn't even have the range to get there so I'm assuming it was done for dramatic effect, several others had pistols which at anything over 25 yards is a pretty difficult shot. The guys with rifles, it could be argued that they should have been able to hit them, but neither of them shot first and that first round going off is enough to make you flinch, even if you knew it was coming, it could have been fired by anyone.

I guess if you played a lot of COD it may seem unrealistic. I was in maybe 8-10 firefights doing convoy security and I probably averaged a hit every 100 rounds. The longer I was there, the more my accuracy improved. Even when I used my M4 for better accuracy to avoid spraying people's houses, I averaged a hit every 25 rchalle chall

Damn tablet. Point is anything beyond 50 yards in an intense firefight (lots of back and forth, not just one way which we had on occasion) is a challenge. You're more trying not to get hit then anything.

I don't remember breathing the last 3 minutes or so of this episode. I love that all our theories were blown up yet again, but in a typically brilliant way. Damn you Vince Gilligan!

    Jesus Christ, this show.

Lets not derail the threads too much. Especially when the blue dress is more important :)

I was just saying it Looked like the guy aimed in with the assault rifle who the uncle nodded shot first to me. That's why the uncle nodded at him. And it did like closer to 25 yards and even then Gomie did t take immediate cover.

Also as you say. They were facing a shotgun and a pistol which I'm sure experienced killers wouldn't fill threatened by when behind cover

It's discussing the events of the episode - hardly derailing the thread. Debating the realism of it is pretty interesting discussion, imo.

They almost outsmarted him, but they should have stayed on the phone until they reached him. Should have expected that Walt could call backup when he realized he'd been setup.
