People have been raving about breaking bad, almost as much as the walking dead (which i enjoy). But i watched 2 episodes of breaking bad, the first 2 episodes of season 1, and I thought it was quite boring. Does the show get a lot better, or is it just not my type of show?
No it doesn't get better. You'll be hard-pressed to find someone who enjoys Breaking Bad on an internet message board.

Show sucks. If you hate good writing the show is definitely not for you. I've gone though every episode, and I just can't find a reason to like. I'll probably watch 4 more episodes, but then I'm done with this show.
Different strokes for different folks. People raved about The Walking Dead and I thought it was completely ****. I actually like Breaking Bad.
I'm not in the "Breaking Bad is the best show ever" camp, but I thought it was slow at first and now I'm a huge fan. You should stick with it.
Exactly how I feel. The Walking Dead is ok, but the lead actors are awful. It's the performances that make Breaking Bad so good.
I've never seen one episode nor do I follow college or pro football. Sundays on facebook for me are exciting, to say the least. there I said it.
You mean the first 2 episodes in which 2 drug dealers are killed, a teacher finds out he has terminal cancer, and then partners with a meth-head former student to cook crystal meth in the desert, then tries to kill himself, and also does his wife from behind (well, that's on the DVD version), fights the student, etc.? Those boring episodes? Then, I would say yes. Because, in my mind, upcoming episodes that feature such types of things as electrocutions, decapitations, severed limbs, building explosions, crushed heads, slit throats, hit-and-runs, head shootings, entire faces blown off, bodies dissolved in acid, guys beaten to death, arms ripped from sockets, kids murdering adults, adults murdering kids, adults poisoning kids, cops beating civilians to hospitalization states, entire groups of people being wiped out through poison, colleagues killing each other in cold blood, asphyxiations, and stone-cold family betrayals- yes, that would constitute boring material to me. :grin: Plus, it has its fair share of humor (don't worry, no spoilers in here): <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/dcMLjIrBIe0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Yeah it gets consistency better with pretty much every episode. You should definitely not give up on it yet.
