Boneheaded play of the season by Gardner and then Hoke compounds it with a foolish challenge that negates ND's missed PAT. I sure hope Michigan doesn't meltdown and give this game away.
It was a pretty athletic catch for a 6'6 DE though. He's currently projected as a 1st rounder, though hasn't necessarily looked like it so far this year.
Props to Michigan for beating ND. Didn't realize Gardner's stat line was so great until the postgame interview. He showed promise last year but I didn't think he would be this good.
It sucks that my ND defense has lost its way on defense, and Kelly has no confidence in Rees cause Rees cannot run his offense. He also missed a million open wide receivers.
My Auburn Tigers are officially on sleeper status. They aren't BCS contenders, but they could surprise some people this year and maybe cause an upset or two.
Easy: Kiffin. Mack Brown will finish the season almost no matter what. Pat Haden dislikes Lane Kiffin. I don't believe anybody at USC has Kiffin's back. He has zero cred there.
Not surprising at all though. They've had inflated expectations for 5 years now simply because "it's USC." I'm not sure it's just Kiffin either. They've created this Hollywood image that's just led to soft football teams even towards the end of Carroll's tenure. Kiffin will certainly be held accountable for letting it continue to degrade. Briles is going to be persued by one of the two. Here's to hoping he'd rather continue revitalizing Waco.
UCLA receiver Nick Pasquale was struck by a vehicle and was killed over the weekend. ABC News LA Times Jim Mora was addressing the media about the situation when some dumbass got caught talking on the phone. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/u0RXF3XjkzM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> From the ESPN story: Mora lashed out during Monday's news conference after he was annoyed by a media video technician who was talking on his phone. Mora had told him to "shut up" and that "the disrespect of some people is unbelievable to me" before the technician motioned for the coach to continue talking, which only enraged Mora further. "Don't tell me to go on. I'll go on when I'm ready to go on," Mora said. "Why don't you take your butt out of here if you're going to be disrespectful."
