Mack has to go. There's loyalty and then there's insanity. There are other great "coaches in waiting out there" and there are no more excuses. He got a pass with the Garrett Gilbert bad luck (many programs wanted him), but missing out on so many Texas-bred recruits to other programs like A&M and Baylor is indefensible.

For all of the smoke blown up our asses this summer about how we were return the "most experienced" team in the country, we should've asked them to specify what "experience" meant. It turns out, it's the same experience of the past three years.

Mack has lost it. It's time for him to take his seat on ESPN2 and allow UT to rebuild. As an alumnus, yes; I mad.

Ricky was nicely saying that the team has no heart.

Who can we replace Mack with?

My first choice is Charlie Strong. My second is Charlie Strong. Wake up and get it done.

Chad Morris, mastermind behind Clemson's explosive offense and former HC at state-champion Lake Travis HS in Austin. He's excellent on the recruiting trail, as well.

It wasn't just that we lost last night, it's how it happened.

Getting absolutely destroyed by a team that is mediocre at best. For years just on talent alone we won games like this just by showing up, worst case they kept it close. I gave some slack for going through rebuilding but this is 4 years now.

Unless they rebound strong and win the big 12, and we have no reason whatsoever to believe they will, it's time for a purge. But it's unlikely Mack is going anywhere regardless of how we all feel

I don't know. After this if they get blown out by ou also... I'm pretty sure that he will be gone. Besides money I don't know why he would want to stay. The writing is clearly on the wall.

    Dabo Swinney
    Gary Patterson
    Art Briles
    Charlie Strong
    David Shaw

There are very good coaches out there to be had. All are not just better, they are superior to Mack Brown in every way.

I really wish we had Sumlin right now.
His offense is fun to watch.

has football passed Mack? Of course not, he was going spread eagle before it became hot. He is just not recruiting the right personnel. On paper those players are high recruits, but on the field they play so badly.

500 rushing yards allowed, you'd have to not try on defense. play the walk ons.

I'm just really glad I have the Rockets and Texans to look forward to this season. Above all else I'm a fan of those two teams than any other team anyway.

What are horrible loss. I was at the game and even the BYU fans were in disbelief how lopsided the game was unfolding.....

Longhorn Network is worth 15 million a year to UT. If A&M is laughing at that it does nothing but show their ignorance.

    http://www.businessweek.com/news/20...k-cash-tips-college-sports-into-disarray.html

The game has definitely passed by Mack Brown as has been proven on the Football field. However, A&M has a lot of years of success and multiple National Champuonships to catch up with UT before they are in any position to laugh. A&M is good now but they have decades of sucking and insulting their fans, alumni and the state of Texas to make up for before they are in a position to even crack a smile.

I'm no Aggie hater/Longhorn fan by any means, but Texas has done plenty of laughing for the last couple decades.

I guess enjoy the Manziel era while it lasts...

here's the thing though, UT fans are realistic and know that the program is in hot garbage right now. There's nothing to "laugh about" from a aTm perspective. Its been a whole year since you've been more successful than us.

what has always been hilarious are the years of aTm fans delusion thinking that they were good and could beat UT and getting hammered 90% of the time they played. And the visible jealousy coming out if aTm fans for all the success that UT had on the field and how they wish it could be them instead. Now THAT was funny.

Sumlin leaves UH for a job at a BCS conference school and you think that means he will leave when the QB does. Every time you post about football, you show the lack of your understanding of college football.
