There is almost always someone good on the waiver wire. Steve Smith (the unheard of one), Victor Cruz, Marques Colston, Chris Johnson, Steve Slaton, Arian Foster, etc... There is also almost always fools gold early-on. Guys like Ogletree and Hill last year. Unlike the fools gold guys, Thomas actually looks like an explosive, actually good football player, albeit raw. I knew he'd be good as a receiving option too but I assumed there were too many mouths to feed and he'd be the 4th or 5th check down option. I think it's still hard to tell, defenses will adjust and he is raw, but yeah, I'd pick him up and see what happens. He's talented.
wow...well in the league i am in we didnt get to drafting until late last night, like 2 hrs before game...we weren't sure if the players playing last night would count towards this week or not. well looked like all was well...it scored and everything...but looks like yahoo might not be using the scores this week and wont start till next. that sucks, peytons performance went to waste for me.
Against the same opponents last year, Luck threw the ball almost 20 times more per game. That is pretty telling. But the Colts might change philosophy. Despite that possibility the Colts will play from behind more often than Seattle, resulting in more passing attempts. The Colts also have better receivers, including a TE or two and a WR that could breakout. As a runner I don't believe in Wilson. I don't see Seattle calling too many designed runs. Wilson can scramble on broken plays but there's no consistency in that attribute. He also didn't scramble much in college so it's never been something he relied on. I wouldn't be surprised if Luck finished with more rushing TD's. He's pretty much just as fast. IMO Luck gives you a better chance to score points and is by far the better QB in 6 point passing TD leagues and/or 300+ yard bonus leagues.
Someone offered me David Wilson for s Jackson. I have sjax Should I take it. I'm thinking no but I'm not sure
Peyton has already assured me the win this week, but just wondering, what 2 rbs would you guys pick Darren McFadden @ IND Ryan Matthews vs HOU Ben Tate @ SD Chris Ivory vs TB Iassac Redman vs TEN
Matthews and McFadden for me. In general i would want to have the guy that is starting playing. Even though from what I read Matthews will not be in on 3rd down much.
I played Rice at Denver. I think I should start Schaub at QB, Johnson at the other RB spot, Wallace and Bowe at the WR spots and Sproles at FLEX. Any suggestions? QB: Schaub (SD), Dalton (Chi) - 1 spot RB: Johnson (Pit), Lacy (SF), Sproles (Atl), Powell (TB) - 1 spot WR: Wallace (Cle), Bowe (Jax), Nelson (SF), Austin (Ari), Brown (Hou) - 2 spots FLEX: Whatever is left over from the previous two groups - 1 spot
I need a flex: Greg Little vs Miami Zac Sudfeld @ Buffalo Little is the #1 guy until Josh Gordon gets back and Sudfeld inherits an offense tailor made for TE's and Tom Brady.
Should I start Eddie Lacy, Isaac Redman, or Ahmad Bradshaw? Bradshaw may not start vs Oakland and Lacy is going up against SF. Redman against Tennessee.
Sproles is definitely safer and after thinking about it some more, I think I might stick with him. It's close though.
