Does anyone know of a good carwash/Detail shop around Houston? Does not matter what part of town as long as they do a good job.
Keep It Clean off of Washington/Heights Blvd. Always a line, but they finish in about 30 minutes for a hand wash and the owner inspects a lot of the cars before they leave. I've tried more than a few and this is by far the best I've found.
Good thread. I stopped using car washes years ago, but if I'm in a bind, I'll give Keep it Clean a try.
I have a buddy that runs a "we come to you" type detailing business, located in the clear lake area, not sure how far he's willing to travel but I can give out the info if anyone is interested, maybe y'all can even get a CF discount lol pretty sure he's a member.
And I realize this sounds like some kid offering to come mow lawns but it's not, extremely professional, all the equipment and products you would find at detail place. He is actually in the process of purchasing a physical location to build if i remember correctly.
I think soap hand car wash is the best car wash. There's a couple of locations but I go to the one Richmond and Timmons.
Encino Car Wash in Kingwood does a pretty good job. I know they work kinda hard. This ain't no place to be if you planned on being a star. Let me tell you, it's always cool. And the boss don't mind sometimes if you act the fool.
I refuse to go back to soap hand car wash, especially the one at richmond and timmons). I took my tahoe there when they first opened 2 years ago maybe, and when I came to pick up the car there was a ton of dirt/mud by the wheels. I asked them why that wasn't cleaned and eventually the manger/owner came out and made it sound like he was doing me a favor by power washing the extra dirt off. Saying normally he wouldn't "do this" and would charge me extra next time (this was after paying like $50 for a car wash).
This is the first complaint I've heard. My entire office goes there and have been since day one. They used to leave streaks on the windshield but after several trial and errors, they have pretty much perfected that aspect too. I have hard to clean rims and they do an excellent job getting rid of all the break dust.
