Ed Reed doubtful to play week 1

There's no "source".

This is probably speculation based on what Kareem Jackson said yesterday.

 

Kareem was on the radio today and I think I heard him say Reed is 100% and ready to go...lol. Maybe I misheard.

Don't really care if he misses these first 2 games, we should be able to mop up the Chargers and Titans without him.

I want Ed playing in the following 3, Bal, Sea and SF. No way in hell he is not out there for the Ravens game in Baltimore.

 

They're replaying the 790 morning show on iheart, and in an interview with duane brown they asked for his opinion on Reed and mentioned Kareem's damning "not 100%" comment. Brown couldn't say anything.

 

it's ok, as long as ajirotutu doesn't go for another 180 yards on us.

 

NFL Network and John Clayton are both saying that Ed Reed will not play on Monday. Bummer. Does this mean that Keo will get the start? Ugh.

HOUSTON (AP) -- Houston coach Gary Kubiak says safety Ed Reed could play when the Texans open the season at San Diego on Monday night.

Reed was taken off the physically unable to perform list on Saturday and returned to practice on a limited basis this week. He has been recovering from April hip surgery to repair a partially torn labrum.

The nine-time Pro Bowler signed in the offseason. He will practice in pads for the first time on Friday. Kubiak says he's been encouraged by the progress Reed has made this week, and that he'll know more about his status for the opener in the next couple of days.
