While Spurs have already become the nursing home for overachieving elderly, they are no cemetary. Bibby will never make it to the bench of SAS unless he can summon the army of undead.
He's really not that good. There's a reason he is behind Joseph. His size is below average for an NBA pg. Additionally in the Spurs system they need someone that can orchestrate the offense and get everyone easy looks at the basket. He's definitely more of an SG in a PG's body.
His problem with the Knicks was his shot completely deserted him. He would go like 0-3 and thats not zero for 3 attempts but 0 for 3 games. I imagine he worked hard on his 3 point shooting in the year he was out of the league so maybe he can make it as a 3 pt specialist with the Spurs.
