Yeah I laughed at that. And C&S isn't over like either. They got a lot of stuff wrong in the show, but I was entertained for 40 minutes.

I saw this and while i agree this goes on in every city, it was kind of strange to see it on TV...I don't think i'll stay home, but will be more careful while driving on 59 lol...Note to self, don't go to the 5th ward, even for free food...

When I was 16, my lily white ass ended up down there at 4 am on a sat night. One of life's more interesting experiences to say the least.

I used to live near Fleming Middle school and had to walk past Tuffly Park (Getto Boys stomping grounds) and through Liberty Road to Gregg and then Lyons to get to my grandmother's house. There's a lot more of us Mexicans now. I'm surprised none showed up in the video.
Because in 5th ward you can probably get a much cheaper hooker than RACOON?

Meh. I've been to 5th. Got my system at MLK flea market. Certainly isn't a place I'd visit at night, but I never felt threatened when I was in the area. I even went to some soul food place. Had ox-tales for the first time, deliccccious.

Speaking of 5th Ward and other not so safe areas around Houston - has anyone been to or driven through Sunnyside? It has been rated as one of the nations most dangerous neighborhoods.

When I used to go to UH sometimes I would drive through there to/from school (living in Pearland) whenever I was running late or didn't feel like sitting in traffic for an hour. It was a good shortcut but the area looks really bad. I don't even think cops want to go there. I heard that they get shot at (directed at the cars) just driving through there

there's a very sparse cambodian community in sunnyside. my family used to visit them in a neighborhood right behind yates high school. we always refered to it simply as Scott. i mostly visited when i was very young so i didn't really know the dangers. now i can definitely see why people would have reservations going through there.
