As I write, I am sitting in a room full of strange looking people and wondering how many people on CF have actually served on a jury. I have been sommened many times and have yet to serve. As much as I hate coming to court, I'm starting to hate not being selected even more! I wish they would select me or at least stop sommening me! I feel like I'm wasting my time.:(

summoned once (when school couldnt be my excuse) and was selected. It was a cocaine case. I came to the conclusion that it is a hell of a drug. In all seriousness though it's a great experience to be selected and go through the trial. However the pay cut is not.

Served on a jury once last year. Took up the whole week.
It has it's pro's and con's. I didn't have to go to work for a week but I had to deal with the fellow jurors some of whom were complete morons.

I don't know how they choose you? They say it's random but I know many people who can participate and the've never been summoned.

Every time I go to jury duty, and spend time around the other potential jurors, I realize what a bunch of complete idiots live in this county. I also notice this when I have to go to the DPS or vote.

During my daily life, I'm only around high performers and executives, so it's a shock to get exposed to gen pop

I've served twice. Both times I was summoned. It has it's pros and cons. Just look on the bright side. Even though, it seems like a waste of time, not being selected will give you time that you wouldn't have had you been selected.

I've thrown every single notice away until last Summer. I went, spent 2 hours there and was released, then spent the whole day at the park since work has to give us the day off for Jury Duty. Totally worth it.

I want to be selected, once, maybe for a couple hours. I wouldn't want to be selected for one of these marathon trials, or a trial that will cause me nightmares at night.

I would like to serve on a jury, but I've never even been summoned for jury duty. I'm 40 and have been registered to vote since the day I turned 18.

I also get the day off, and I usually go and take my wife out for lunch which is something that I always enjoy. I just want to take it off my bucket list I guess. I'm sure once I serve I'll probably feel that this was much to do about nothing.

My trial took a whole week. Honestly, if you get selected, it will be anywhere from 1 day trial up to a month. On average I'd say about 2-4 day trial.

Called up twice but never got to an actual trial. One time they settled out of court just when we entered the court room. The other time they settled when I was getting out of the car. I wish they would just let me do it once and never call me again.

I've been summoned numerous times but never got picked until earlier this year. It was an assault with a deadly weapon trial. Typical trailer park ex-boyfriend tries to kill new boyfriend and old girlfriend drama. Taken right from the Jerry Springer show.

This was in Montgomery County, not Harris. The trial was for 4 days. Good thing about it was that the prosecuting attorney was HOT. Blonde hair, big boobs, short skirts every day.

We put the guy in prison for 10 years.

Never been summoned. Post some things about jury nullification on your Facebook and you'll probably never be summoned again.
