    Okay, thanks. Will do.

I just want to start making money and start getting out of debt, and any lower management position would be Ideal, if it's able to train me to eventually manage others in the future.

As soon as all my debt is taken cared of, and have a nice lil something saved in the bank account. Im out of hear. Moving overseas to run the family business.

Firstly, please be sure to completely ignore this stipulation and apply for the role anyways. Lots of jobs are placed online if they're hard to post internally or through referrals, so you can kind of guess they'd be willing to at least do a first round phone screen for a new graduate with a relevant degree (MIS is relevant for all tech jobs AND all the other majors in business school).

    Lol

The advice Pouhe gave is good. I have been out of the Corporate crap and hiring and stuff for about 15 years. Many times when I was looking for an experienced Chemist I would get some resumes from lab techs and it just so happened I was also looking for entry level techs but after I was done hiring the experienced person as that was the most needed at that time. Most of the time it is a waste of a resume and nothing happens but do it anyway. Never know.

Did you do any internships while at UH? They look great on a graduating student's resume and provide valuable experience in the real world.

Wow. Way to knit pick. I didn't know the grammar police really existed. Don't worry, if need be, I can professionally write and speak myself out of any situation that may require proper grammar.

I didn't know posting on clutchfans needed to be 100% grammatically correct. My apologies.

Lol. I may be asian, but I'm also 100% Texan. Everyone out here no matter what color or background uses some type of slang or lingo when casually speaking or writing.

Those whom speak "proper" all the time are usually Stiffs.

    it's "nit pick"

    sorry, the errors are glaring.

"where" instead of "were", "hear" instead of "here", terrible usage of apostrophes.

it makes a difference when writing cover letters and resumes, etc...

    no but you are

    nice stereotyping!

until you brought up the ethnicity of the OP, it hadn't been mentioned.

"delete thread ban user" was what you said to the OP earlier today.

in both of the (neg repped) OP's threads today, I was participating by staying on topic to the content in the thread.

and as a hiring manager, I would throw away a cover letter that contained errors like the ones I mentioned. it has nothing to do with "speaking proper"

if you wanted to to just ask, you shouldn't have led with the racist accusation.

intellectually lazy guesswork right there, brah.

All business schools should only offer Management/MIS as a minor. I don't have the slightest clue what you would do with that degree.

Get an accounting degree? Be an accountant. Finance? Go work in a finance department. Marketing? Go work in a marketing department.

Several energy and particularly power trading and finance jobs are starting to require a programming component. Every link in the energy supply chain requires some proprietary software system that has to be updated every time they acquire a new asset or revise contract terms or marketing policies. Developers come from all over the place with varying levels of organizational and planning skills, or limited desire to understand a project's underlying business processes or goals; so PMPs and MIS majors with Agile or Sprint certification are collecting business requirements, translating them into software needs and putting together the budgets and timelines. They also handle all the training and track all the follow-up enhancements.
