A better player from a style perspective to compare would be Russell Wilson.

It is not the style that is the problem it is the attitude.

    Cam won a natty

Johnny Massengill has never done better than 3rd place....in the western division of the SEC

Tim Tebow is a weird comparison, if that's the case. Everyone's different - I don't think anyone can project Manziel's likely NFL outcome at this point.

Is it a bad thing to get Alabama so early in the schedule? A cupcake next weekend and those 4 starters won't see action until the tide come in.

Johnny ****ing Football owes you nothing.

Well, looky here: It's Johnny Football-Manziel playing actual football, actually:

And then, in rapid succession, this, this, and this happened, and we want to promise you right now, with complete and total sincerity despite using the majestic plural, that we are absolutely as sick of writing non-football Johnny Football sentences as y'all are of reading them, and that the only thing we're sicker of is having to hear who all's most offended by it in this news cycle.

It is our unwavering position that Johnny Manziel owes us nothing. He owes you nothing. He's a 20-year-old kid making everybody connected to him — including us — way too much money, and giving the viewing public too much of himself, to owe anybody anything further. Manziel has to answer for his behavior to his coaches and his teammates, and nobody else, and we don't get to decide what exactly he should answer for, either. That's on them. He gives us enough. If he wants to ****-talk his way through the rest of 2013, declare early for the draft, get snapped up by the Bills, and spurn them to go into pro wrestling, that's fine, and may end up being the healthiest outcome for all involved.

He attempted 8 passes against Rice, and three of them were for TDs. Yet you are still here talking trash...to each their own I guess.

By the way, Cam didn't win that championship in his freshman year either. The book is not complete on Johnny Heisman. I am sure that Johnny is polishing his Heisman trophy while reading your weak ass trash talk.

What was so impressive about Cam's run was that he went from Tebow's backup at UF (only saw mop-up duty) to feasting on nobodies out of the public eye at Blinn... to one-man wrecking machine in his first year with a new offense, new surroundings, new teammates, etc. in the deepest league in CFB. Keep in mind, Auburn was 3-5 in the SEC the year before he arrived. He went into god-mode, capturing every major individual award en route to a perfect season.

Johnny's run as a RS FR was legendary, but Cam still takes the cake because he capped it off with a natty.

I'm still in amazement at the pitiful crop of Heisman candidates from last year.

The biggest competition was from a Hawaiian DEFENSIVE player with an imaginary girlfriend.

He had over 5000 yds of offense and close to 50 TDs. That is almost a 1000 more yards than cam newton and just 3 fewer touchdowns. His stats were so overwhelming that it would have been hard to not give him a heisman in any year. Furthermore he took a team predicted to go 6-6 to 11-2.

Boy you are really desperate to do anything you can to discount Manziel's accomplishments, aren't you bigbutthurt?

Manziel had better stats then both Newton and Tebow in their Heisman years. In his redshirt freshman year. And took a team that had a brand new coach and offensive scheme AND was widely regarded as middle of the road at best to a 10-2 record in the toughest conference in America and a top 10 national ranking. That would have made him a Heisman front runner in any year.

Manziel will change the NFL like VY was supposed to.

Good luck to you, John Football.

No, you look foolish by trash talking after your team got rolled by 21 points by a second string QB and a defense that was half comprised of true freshmen. Moral victories...the Rice way.

In all fairness, I made that prediction before we knew that Jenkins, Everett and Harris would be out. Even without them, Rice got rolled unless you consider 21 points to be a close game. Then again, as long as UH isn't rolling you by 50, I guess you'd consider it close.

I almost feel sorry for you being foolish enough to talk **** after your team gets its ass kicked.

Wow, aggies and owls talking ****. What has the great State of Texas come to? If not for Baylor I would weep many tears for the Brazos River basin.

Have some pride, talk **** to those who deserve and earn it, act like you've been there before, and if you haven't act like you will get there someday.
