What event occurred around the time you joined Clutchfans?

I started to get back into basketball. My hometown of Oahu doesnt have a team. The city I was living in didnt have a basketball team team either. So I picked a team that didnt have Kobe and did have a big arse Asian guy on it!

 

Joined in the offseason where we tried to get bosh. Lurking since 22 game win streak

Plus, July '07 was pretty hot at I was at my PC surfing the net instead of outside mowing the grass.

Found the site a year or so before I registered, and just lurked. Had nothing to do with the state of the teams, more so me being homesick as I was attending boarding school in Switzerland.

I joined the month that Steve Francis was signed.

 

I don't really remember when exactly I joined. I'm so old, I can't even look up my first post. It was definitely before the Quitten season. Maybe Barkley's first season, or his second. It didn't have anything to do with Barkley -- I just happened to find the site around then.

 

I got my first credit card. Which meant I could pay the fee to become a member, back when such a fee was required.

 

Just when I happened to find the site. I am not a 99'er...but almost. I have been around a while.

 

I started lurking to find out info on Yao. I only casually followed basketball at the time, so I didn't know anything about him. I finally got an account once public viewing was shut down.

I rarely post here, but I do give the place a lot of credit for helping to maintain and solidify my interest in basketball, to the point where I was able to get a basketball-related job.

 

Joined right around the time when Yao & McGrady started to break down physically. I remember being on the board during the 22 game win streak. Followed the site though for some months before joining.

When I was in college, I first found "saveourrockets.com" online while I was freaking out about the team moving to Louisville. From there, I started lurking occasionally on Clutchcity.net.

When I graduated in 2001, I had more free time and started spending more time on Clutchfans. After reading a while, I joined to help urge posters to lay off the criticism of our young players (especially Steve Francis), hence the name "Patience". Turns out a fair amount of that criticism was valid . Oh well.

 

I always used to watch Clutchfans YouTube video's and read the forums, but I never really liked joining anything on the net.

I can't remember why I finally joined up,(I think I truly disagreed with someone & had to voice my opinion), but I'm on here daily now. Y'all are like my extended family.

 

I joined when Lin joined the Rockets the first time. I had told folks since even before the Warriors drafted him that Lin had all-star potential and was intrigued about his journey. When Lin joined the Rockets, my favorite team since childhood, I couldn't help but to join.

 

Same here. I joined at the end of the season before. So unless you look at the month I joined I look like a Lin/Harden bandwagon jumper.

 

As with lots of low number members, we were part of the Original ClutchCity that the Rockets took back from Clutch. Clutch created Clutch Fans as a result, and let members know to sign into the new site.

Thus my low member number. Old School.
