while the US mainstream media keep quoting officials saying it's safe, cant help but wonder how americans feel about all this radioactive stuff getting to the west coast?

I am worried, but I am not leaving. I live in SF, getting direct hit from this. The Japanese need to do something now.

^ There's a thread i started about it with some info on the situation.

I'm worried about, i'd be especially worried if i was on the west coast too.

I'm in houston and i'v made some changes in my life because of the situation. I make sure not to get any dairy, juices, veggies or fruits from the west coast. I also haven't eaten fish in over a year.

Man, what the fukushima is this? First time I've heard of it and is canned tuna or fish still safe to eat? Honestly, it's a staple in my diet and I'd hate to be paranoid everytime I have it now.

All the deaths in Japan were from the tsunami itself. There are so far, ZERO deaths from radiation exposure. All the mega-bombs dropped in the Pacific during the Cold war for testing didn't affect the West Coast (or even Hawaii). Why would this?

I dont know where you got your info from but there have been quite a few deaths from cancer. the govt. and media just blamed smoking cigs or other causes. the mgr from the Fukushima power plant died of cancer and all they could say is, " he sure loved his cigarettes." they mentioned that 4 times in the same article.

If it was from radiation exposure, it would be thyroid cancer. More than 30,000 people died from the tsunami caused by the mother of all earthquakes, but rather than write about that, there is nuclear fear-mongering instead.
