I think I've said this before on this thread, but, IMO, it's not hard to differentiate from real, true hate, and jokes. Not condoning it, nor would I make racist jokes on live national tv for the over-sensitive viewing public to hear, but I can see a clear difference between the hate that comes out of Aaryn's mouth and the off-color comments made in jest that come out of Amanda's.
Incredibly ironic that Aaryn wanted to blame her criticism on stereotypes of southerners/Texans. And to sum up Joker's updates last night: Amanda is upset she's portrayed as a bully, says Elissa is the real bully. Proceeds to follow Elissa around and bully her (again).
Unanimous house votes that we already see coming right after nominations pretty much kills the 'game' for the whole week. Not much else to see besides people melting down. It's like the Spurs show up and sit the starting lineup due to 'injuries'. I've read/heard BB purists hate the jury member returning. But this cast deserved it.
Double elimination next week, one member of McRanda is sure to go. Back at the jury house it's going to be hard for Aaryn to get sympathy from anyone except for maybe Helen. One of the better parts of the interview was how Julie didn't even engage Aaryn after it was over. She got out of her chair and walked away. She was so oblivious. But she said those were all her besties and she adored them?? Part of me felt bad for her last night. I wonder if subconsciously I only felt sympathy because she's hot, and I'd be less forgiving towards a nasty beast? Character flaw on my part, I suppose. Then again, I already am a racist Texan by birth, so maybe I'm just predisposed to sympathizing with fellow Texans (racists).
Rachel has got to be most annoying person in the world. She's the one who looks like she's doing a bad impression of her sister. Brendon is either one f'ed up dude, or the baddest one on earth, to put up with her. The cast, as a whole, has been boring. Amanda is only one person. I'm only following the aired show, so it looks like I've missed other things she's said since. The show didn't really keep going after the racist angle, so i assumed she had stopped or else they would have aired it.
Oddly me too. She largely redeemed herself throughout the rest of her stay and once even admitted that it was a mistake to evict Howard. I know people like her. They are so full of themselves until they ignore cultural differences until they are forced into an integrated environment, then they find themselves advancing their superiority complex by demeaning anyone who would challenge it with the hope that the broad interpretation of a joke will hide their true intent.
beauty pretty much can get away with anything. Aaryn is charming there's no doubt about that. Add in her stunning looks and it's over. If you are a red blooded american man, you're trapped.
Dan was spot on when he called Amanda a brat. Her family must be pretty embarrassed by now. Can't blame it on game play anymore. When Alyssa was talking about Jessie's ass, i thought Amanda's head was going to pop off. Pretty funny.
-ussy has been the downfall of men since the beginning of time. GM might be the dumbest person (not player, person) in BB history but she made a great observation when she said McRae had a passion/fire for the game on the first day. Now he's whipped in a showmance with the biggest -itch in BB history. Good luck winning now. There will always be a need for pizza delivery guys.
Yikes. Last night on the feeds GM says something like Elissa's son looks relatively dark, Puerto Rican dirt or something like that. I'm amazed at the amount of unnecessary personal attacks this season; but going after kids? Not to mention the racial aspect. WTF...at least Judd tried to shut it down quickly and told her to stop. But I doubt she'll get the Aaryn-esque interview when she gets evicted. BTW I'll give Spence credit for the best quips of the season. Gameplay: Spoiler I'm also shocked that Elissa has suddenly flipped and will campaign for Amanda to stay all of a sudden!?!?
i read when Elissa was HOH, Amanda took a used tampon and put it over a picture of her son. She is a vile human being. People think that Aaryn & GM will have it rough once out of the house, just wait to see what Amanda will have to deal with now that people know what's she's really like. And trust me, she can't lean on the excuse of it was just gameplay as personal attacks isn't gameplay.
