I keep one in my wallet, best to be ready. Having to run out to your car or the corner store in the heat of the moment is not a good look.

I've had the wrapper break in my wallet. I imagine it's too hot in Houston to keep them in your car. I just feel there's a cloud of bad luck when you carry one with you. I'm on my longest dry spell in years, and the whole time I've had they little bulge in my wallet... And pants.
Not speaking from experience (nothing passed by the goalie, yet), but heads-up ... if you do keep them in your wallet, replace them if you go through a dry spell. Every couple of weeks or so, because the mylar usually isn't enough to prevent possible imperceptible breaks. Same with the glove compartment, I've been told.
Why not ? A lot of young women keep a condom in their purse or backpack, just in case sex happens. It doesn't make them sluts. Just keep the condom in a place where it won't accidentally fall on the table while you are handling money or credit cards. Best to get a wallet with a concealed zipper pocket.
When I'm paying the bill for a meal on a date, I let the condom accidentally fall out of the wallet. Makes a nice conversation starter.

Stopped carrying in my late teens. I didn't find myself having sex in weird places that were isolated from convenience stores so I decided it was dumb.
I used to do that, I changed them out but after a while the condom started to print on the wallet. It was kind of embarrassing in sometimes.
