just finished watching The Book of Eli. Good one. 8/10. I would have given 9 if Solara showed her skin a bit ;).

You should see The Road with Viggo Mortensen. It's way more realistic and creepy.

I watched ROOM 237, a documentary on the shining. Toycens of every age would appreciate it as it correlates the shining to the holocaust all the way to maury's acquisition of dwight howard. =) maybe not the dwight howard part but it was damn good. 7.99/ 10

The Last Stand. I was expecting a cheesy 80s action film attempt. Instead, I got cheesy 2000s awesomeness! It stars Ahhhnold and aaron rodgers brother, Zaaron as an escaped cartel leader. 7.12/10

Into the White - 8 out of 10, on Instant Queue on Netflix. Awesome WWII film about German and British airmen, shot down over Norway. Fantastic story (based on a true story), decent acting.

btw, some mentioned The Road... its also on Instant Queue, in case you are interested.

    A Clockwork Orange (1971) : 9/10

It was excellent throughout. I just felt it dragged a little bit 70%+ into the film though hence the score. McDowell played his role to perfection!

    Children of Men - 6/10

I've seen people call this one of the best science fiction movies ever, and I have to say I didn't see that at all. Maybe it's because I was about 7 years too late seeing it for the first time. However...I did think it was good, and the single-shot action scene at the end was pretty amazing. It was just a little too slow for me the rest of the time.

Pain and Gain - 2 out of 10. I wish I read back a few pages and would have seen a previous review. Two very likable stars (Wahlberg, Rock) and what seemed like an interesting topic. Stopped watching after a half hour, wasted $1 from RedBox (last movie I stopped watching: Rock of Ages).

Looking forward to renting See me if You Can and the new Star Trek movies.

    Dog Pound 7/10

It was an enjoyable movie but still find some parts kind of hard to believe and the ending was not that good.

its on Netflix go check it out.

    You're Next - 8/10

Awesome movie if you're into the whole "dudes getting killed in funny/interesting/amusing ways". Funny as well, and actually a decent twist. If you like movies like Evil Dead and Cabin in the Woods...you gotta check this out.

"Gimme the Loot", an inner city masterpiece. if you're a TRUE astros fan and hate the Mets, you will cheer for this movie. "white people don't use stairs." =)
    8.13/ 10

"Safe Haven" My baby's momma calls up and tells me to watch it since I like Robin scherbatzki and it made her cry. It was one of the worst 'dramas' i've seen in recent years. And what is up with Nicolas sparks always using canoes and rain? ugh.

    Pathfinder - 9/10

Any movie I can watch multiple times and still be excited about it gets a high rating. Really enjoyed the story line/historical option. Thought "Bones" (Karl Urban) did a great job.

Saw Riddick last night. 5/5. First half was good, second half not so much. It got too predictable and boring that I actually fell asleep.

watched "the Iceman". Just when you think Michael shannon couldn't be any more creepy, he flips you the middle finger and says watch this! He's come a long way from banging bunny rabbit's mom. 8.9/10 very intense movie.

The Company You Keep - 5 out of 10. Decently movie, and impressive cast (including Anna Kendrick in a small part), but the odd casting of Redford and Christie in roles suited for people in their 50's drew away from what would have been a better film.
