I knew I did it a while back ago after seeing it on FB, and knew I had seen it here before that.

It was fun. Don't know how to screen capture on my phone though.

If my kids ever sent me a text like that I'd make them sorry even if I thought it was a joke.

It's like the April Fools joke my wife played long ago when she had a friend call me pretending to be a doctor saying the test came back with indications of ovarian cancer. It's really not funny, not even in retrospect.

When I was 15 I came home from the mall with my mom sporting a clip on earring and told my dad it was pierced. He was not happy. I wore it a full day before revealing it was a clip on.

 

I did that once and my father called me tinker bell. Then a year later I pierced my ear.

 

They'd just say "awesome, enjoy it."

I'm a grown adult off of the internet though. They know I love the herb.

These things are only funny when the "uncool parents" realized it's a joke and reply with something cool and witty.

All the serious replies are just sad to read and I feel bad for the parents for having to put up with such juvenile antics from their kids.

 

My friend bought a fake lottery ticket and gave it to his sister for Christmas as a stocking stuffer. When she scratched it and won she went crazy and finally when she came down and he broke the news to her she went crazy again.
