Doesn't seem to be in shape. I read something a couple of weeks ago Clowney was using a nagging injury to avoid practice, which prompted Spurrier to tell him he might miss the first game as a result. Suddenly he could practice.
Ole Miss with all these #1 recruits at their positions and are playing like it.. Starting to remind me when Bama was rebuilding with Saban and all his recruits.
Pretty surprising to hear. Everything I'd seen since his Junior year in high school said his work ethic was a plus. If they mentioned it at all. Stuck at work, so I can't get a look. Just disappointing to hear about a guy some of us have been so excited about for a while now.
Interesting. I heard Clowney didn't apply himself much as a freshman and it wasn't until last year when he grew up and started trying to be all he could be. After tonight's disappointment and with a semi-rivalry game with UGA up next Saturday, maybe he'll kick it in gear.

He's a 3 star QB from Lake Travis who had offers from Rice and Washington State. So he's not that much of a "Walk On"
He's still a walk on because he didn't get a scholarship offer. I wonder what the reason was for him not to get an offer? Doesn't seem like Tech was loaded at QB so they did't want to offer. Maybe it was just too late in recruiting and they didn't have any offers left?
LOL, he'd rather pay for school to play in Lubbock rather than get a free education at Rice. Says a lot about the latter.
I know nobody here cares about Utah St/Utah but those that didn't see Chuckie Keeton need to watch him this year. Could be a sleeper Heisman candidate.
Honestly one of the crazier games I can remember watching in a while. Check out the highlights, it's worth it.
Last night turned out to be a really entertaining night of college football. UNC/South Carolina turned out to be disappointing, but Ole Miss/Vandy, Utah/Utah St and Rutgers/Fresno State were all really good. Also, it's funny that UConn got pasted by Towson. Towson is a really good FCS program, but still.
