The other outstanding thing about SoA is they mix music with the show. Yeah, I know Miami Vice started this; just saying it's always welcome when well done, just like when the movies do it. This vid is poor a/v quality...but this is a great scene that shows how the mix music with the action. This is probably my most rewatched scene ever in my TV viewing history. l o v e l y Tig, Chibs, and Bobby are all in my top 5 favorite TV characters of all time. I can't decide which one I like the most. btw,,,this is a spoiler that you probably want to only watch when you catch up. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/iZqRNN5oigg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> and here is the way the sound quality should be with still images from the show This is not a spoiler...just still shots of the characters put to "Burn it Down" <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/RTmcrv1qtK4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Another outstanding thing about SoA... and..This might need a spoiler too I have a thing for women named "Winter" Spoiler
Not sure if serious. Apparently, people in hangout think you are angry all the time. lols...not me. But, alas, I did spoiler the Playboy cover of Winter Zoli. Choose your SoA season to decide if you are ready to see Winter. regardless, thanks for another reason to bump this thread.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure there are people who access this site from work and a Playboy cover might cause some red flags.
You're saying that Peg doesn't have an influence on his writing? Two of her sisters are on the show in some form (writer/producer/actor). Katey Sagal's horrible Jewel knock-off songs are featured in the show. I'm not saying that she isn't well cast a conniving matriarch. She is just over-extended due to her influence on the show creator. This show doesn't hold a candle to The Sopranos. SoA has many horribly directed episodes. I've never seen The Shield so I can't comment on that. I enjoyed the first few seasons, but the Gemma and Tara-centric plot-lines are annoying and pointless. Give me people beating the crap out of each other, riding bikes and shooting guns.
You don't think there's enough of that? There's been episodes over the last 2 seasons where I'm not sure there was actually any dialogue. Just chases, explosions, gun fights, and fist fights. Personally, I don't think they over-do the Tara-Gemma stuff. At least not so much that it bothers me.
So you admit you don't know who Kurt Sutter is, yet you accuse the stellar creator of nepotism Just stop. You don't know what you are talking about wrt to one of the best tv show creators of all time And yes. SoA just floors The Sopranoas. Better actors. Better story. Better writing. And And And Kurt Sutter isn't done yet Name me one thing you think Sopranos has on SoA
SOA's best season was season 2. AJ Weston has to be in the running for television's top 10 best villains ever & Henry Rollins made that role his b****. Which leads to one of SOA's greatest strengths: Casting villains/rivals. Only rivaled by GOT, SOA's one of the few shows that has never had any castings in doubt. The actors Wendy O'Brien chooses for their roles stands alone. I was a little iffy about Harold Perrineau as Damon Pope before season 6 began but man did he exceed expectations. Emilio Rivera as Marcus Alvarez the fearless Mayan president. Ally Walker as ATF agent June Stahl the conniving agent b**** that truly made you hate that character as if it was personal matter. Henry Rollins as AJ Weston the badass neo nazi that stands for his beliefs of separatism over any amount of money. Titus Welliver as Jimmy O the hard nosed Irish leader who has a long dark history with Chibs. Donal Logue as Lee Toric is supposed to be the most badass villain in SOA's history, I mean... not many people torment Otto like he did to the point where Otto had to bite off his own tongue.... Can't wait to see what they do with him. For people looking to begin SOA, here's my word of advice. Please be patient with season 3, the last 3 episodes make it totally worth it.
Is this a joke. Have you followed my posts above. Don't make me unspoiler the Winter Playboy cover that Rocketman15 said was too risqué SoA girls floor Soprano girls I mean ,,, I'm not kidding,,,like I got sumpin against The Greatful Dead and The Soproanos. No I don't. I just know SoA and Trey are better. Shoot me
Just giving you a hard time but Tony's girlfriends were pretty hot if you ask me. I did recently watch all of the Sopranos. A little disappointed in the show. So many people said it was the best thing ever and I just didn't get that vibe. I did like Tony though.
I gotta admit, the Sagal songs are downright terrible... I don't mind that her character gets a lot of screen time/story lines. I like Gemma. I was seriously hoping that we wouldn't see too much of Tara this season outside of maybe a trial/few scenes in jail. I don't think this show is better than the Soprano's personally, but I do think it's one of the better shows on TV at the moment. I didn't really dig the Ireland season either, but every other season has been pretty damned good.
Sorry, but Shawn Ryan was The Shield's creator. EDIT: Aside from that, the rest of your point is valid.
Yeah...they've crossed a few lines with this episode. Very crazy season premiere. Spoiler Otto and Tara have more balls than Clay.
It was pretty good. The show seems to be getting crazier of you ask me. Otto has to hate himself right now...
I enjoyed it but felt the spoiler for those that haven't seen the premiere Spoiler school shooting was terribly shoehorned....this is the only way Samcro cares about were their guns go, seemed really heavy handed and forced...
didn't get a chance to watch the whole thing, but i seen the majority of it, missed a little bit in the middle overall decent way to start the season when i started watching this show in season 2 they used to replay episodes on friday night, anyone know when they replay shows or will i have to watch on in demand
