I know it's political, but not sure we have much to debate here.

I guess you could go with "thanks, obama!" or that ugly cat that says "good".

 

Talk about getting closure...

 

Sucks about North Korea, but I was a little taken aback that the writer's bias is so apparent in the article. Oh, I figured, it's a NY Daily-style rag with an overt anti-North mission, but no, it's the main newspaper in South Korea. Maybe it's hard to talk about Kim Jong Un without demonizing him, but is it normal in Korean papers to use inflammatory language, like calling executions 'atrocities' and imprisonment 'barbarism', or to insinuate on infidelity, revenge, and Disney fetishes with scant evidence? Not that they're wrong, but western papers would probably be more careful on those things to not appear biased.

 

I actually felt the same and read the article in Korean (I'm bilingual) and in Korean, that undertone is not there. It must be one translator/English writer's slant in it.

 

I don't want to live in a country where you can't record yourself having sex.

as for kim jong, dude needs to get got. It's 2013 ease up a little.

 

I think this is interesting. I wonder if the culural sensitivities are just plain different when you operate in a different langauge. So, if you can read both, what would have been a better word choice than 'atrocity' to capture the original article's meaning? What about, "North Korea's barbaric principle of guilt by association?" How do you say that without sounding like you have an agenda?

 

I've seen a few comment saying that the ChosenIlbo often reports false stories on north korea . Might need some other sources to verify this claim . Very sad if true .

It is actually a shorter article in Korean that lays out what happened without any commentary. I'm going to assume that it's not so much a translation but an entirely separate English writer.

 

I would like to see the evidence against her, where is this so called sex tape?

 

He needs to be shot for that stupid hair cut.

 

If it's being passed around in China, surely it should be available here. I'd be interested to know if they started the case with evidence or just completely made it all up.

 

I'm only surprised by the fact that her death wasn't slow and painful.
