Curious to hear the players side to see if they're satisfied.

    The NFL got off lightly.

It seems like the players just wanted acknowledgement from the league that something needed to be done. The league was more than happy to oblige, especially considering there is no admission of wrongdoing, and a close to 20 year timetable on compensation.

The start of the unraveling. The NFL (team owners) are going to get this money back on penalties now. The game will change. Enjoy it!

Do you mean player fines? You think they are going to accumulate $765 million in player fines?

They can't recoup anywhere near that in fines.

765M over 17-18 years is not that bad for an entity like the NFL.

You better believe they're getting it from somewhere. That will be a place to start.

Fines got to charity. NFL owners don't touch that money. They will get the money back in TV and Licensing deals. Don't be surprised if they add another Thursday night game and sell it to Fox Sport 1, TNT, or NBC Sports Network.

Hopefully this makes people complain ness about the new rules protecting the head. I would rather blow out a knee then suffer brain damage for the rest of my life.

It feels selfish to say, "they are ruining the game" when it is obvious that the level of violence threatens the well being of the players long after they are done playing.

I just don't understand this. You know when you take the money to play that it is a physical and violent game. Everybody knows that getting hit that hard repeatedly isn't good for you. To some extent, they assumed the risk and took the cash.
