You disagreed with him did you not? He just said thanks to the best fans in the world and you said he was lying.
The anti T-Mac sentiment is far stronger here than I thought. I can't believe y'all are still mad. Remember the good times too.
Thank You Darly Morey for trading my ass to New York where I took the Knicks to a championship cause my training with Tim Grover made me elite like LeBron... SIKE!
Your first sentence is true, though debatable. Your second sentence is severely simplified / unrealistic. Your third sentence is just trying too hard. I'm not sure how anyone thinks TMac had the career he had without working hard. Yao Ming essentially became injured BECAUSE he worked too hard. You can't prevent microfracture by staying in shape... then again as I type this I wonder why I'm even bothering.
I remember Tim Thomas falling on Yao Ming's foot. http://sportsgoggles.wordpress.com/...-rockets-playoff-hopes-take-a-tim-thomas-hit/ Yao was leaping for a blocked shot as Chuck Hayes and Tim Thomas hit the floor beneath him. Yao’s knee appeared to get caught under Thomas’ body and Yao immediately grabbed his knee and screamed in pain. Yao was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, where an MRI test revealed a fracture of Yao’s right tibial plateau, trainer Keith Jones said.
That dude played that entire playoff's series against the Jazz with a f**&& up knee and shoulder. The Rockets organization new that as well. Laid it all on the line for this organization. But yet yall want to crucify the man. lol too funny.
It's over people. T-Mac had his flaws but at least he is not Quitten, right? Let it go, I think he is sincere. The man had a couple mistakes but overall he tried his best. I wish him the best.
Regret not bringing Houston a Championship? You have to win a playoff series first in order to do that.
Call him what you want but he's done so I got nothing but appreciation for what he did in Houston and other charities that he's done over the years ie: Darfur. Tmac was a beast in Orlando and the fact that he only mentioned championship while a Rocket means a lot. He set the bar high in H-Town and I won't discount the man's contribution for what happened his last couple years in Red. Obviously, the Rockets invested heavily on him so as a Rockets fan, I rooted for him to succeed no matter what. Let it be on the court or recovering from injuries, whatever he did only meant helping the chances for my team to succeed. Tracy still lives in Houston, raises his family there and has gave nothing but props and showed love. Whatever happened between him and the organization during the later stages of his tenure should not completely define how he was as a player.
How are some of you so bitter towards someone who, for the most part, gave his all to this city? Were there incredible lows? Yes, but that's just the nature of stardom in basketball. For whatever reason, superstars in the NBA are much more polarizing than in any other sport, so you must take the good with the bad. I'm sure if he could go back and handle the end of his tenure here in Houston differently, he would. It's obvious he has mended fences with the organization, so for me, he's good. Like someone else said, at least he's not Pippen. I hold no ill will towards McGrady, and wish him success in his future endeavors.
The memory that seems to stick in my mind with Tmac was the playoffs against the Jazz, without Yao. We had that incredible winning streak, carried by him. But him alone just wasn't enough. Sadly it never was.
This pretty much sums it up, and in the end 4 good years are better than no years. T-Mac was one of my favorites when he was healthy, the guy was just too talented not to have achieved greater things.
