My qb is also Tony romo, and i dislike having qb/wr tandems from real teams.

Then I wouldn't do it. You're getting a small bump at RB that you don't really need. Maybe a slight upgrade at that top WR but a decent downgrade at the second WR in the trade.

    I think so.

I recorded ESPN's stupid fantasy football special and actually received some good information from Stephania Bell, their physical therapist.

She mentioned that a few of his injuries she found troubling as in they usually don't happen to a regular football player. Which lead her to believe that his soft tissue may not be as strong as other guys in the sport.

I'm no doctor but when someone that makes a living off knowing about people and their bodily injuries says you've got a problem with all the injuries you have as being out of the ordinary that automatically brings up a red flag, for me at least.

Cobb and Cruz both have their set of injuries but it sounds like Cruz should be healthy to start the season. Plus he's stayed relatively healthy for the past few seasons.

She also commented on Cobb and said that while he should be able to play thru his shoulder injury it could still limit him throughout the season.

If I were you I would have went with either Cobb or Cruz, like I said before Amendola is on my stay away list.

You don't think two slight upgrades is worth the moderate loss at the 4th wr position?

I think TY Hilton can outscore Alshon by about 50 pts this season.

I think Dez vs Brandon, if you simulate the season 100 times, Dez gets more points 52 times and Brandon 48 times.
And RB slight improvement wont effect anything for you.

So I'm talking about a significant downgrade at WR4, for a possible SLIGHT upgrade at WR1/RB4. And then you have Romo/Dez combo which you didn't want.

I see scenarios where you would start TY over Cruz/Stevie, there is no QB in Buffalo yet, so that's very risky, and Cruz could easily miss games cause of injury. In that case you would miss out on what you have with TY for sure.

I wouldn't do it. Stevie Johnson is worthleses. You need to start 3/4 of the other 4 WR's. Not worth downgrading from TY to Alshon imo (though I believe Dez > Marshall by more than the above poster)

    RB's here are irrelevant

I would say no, McFadden>Mendenhall. You have depth at RB, so now you look for upside, McFadden has that, Mendenhall will not.

What other RBs does he have?
Apparently you really like Dez better, did you try a straight up offer?

No. I'd take Amendola over Cruz and Cobb as well. I think Amendola is the ultimate risk/reward player this year. If there's one thing I've learned in Fantasy over all the years... you need to take some gambles and hope they pay off. Especially considering there's no sure thing (Cruz and Cobb both had injuries before the start of the season as well) I think it was a wise move.

All things equal (all 3 players stay healthy) I think Amendola is in for a monster season. Not just Receptions wise but I think he can get around 1300 yards and around 10 TD's give or take 1 or 2. I have a feeling him and Brady are going to beast all year. Welker was a product of Brady and I think Brady can do the same thing for Amendola.

If you really want Dez my best bet for you would be Marshall and Green-Ellis for Dez.

Obviously don't know what's on the waiver wire but you could pick up a flyer on Redman/Felix Jones, Bryce Brown, maybe a WR like Thompkins.

That's what i ended up doing. Except for i asked for mendenhall. If he says no I'll ask for alshon, or Tompkins.

I would ask for Thompkins over Alshon based on upside. The only way this player starts for your team is if they are playing significantly above their average point projections. If Amendola gets hurt, Thompkins is essentially the #1 WR with an excellent QB throwing to him. I know the Patriots spread the ball out and TDs may be a little harder to get but he'll preform very well week in week out without Amendola.
There is a much less likely chance that Marshall gets hurt and even then, I trust the Bears offense a lot less than Brady.

I think Forte and SJax are VERY close in a normal league. I like the TDs for SJax, Forte is in a pass heavy team and in the past hasn't gotten many goal line carries. Atlanta should have some leads and run the ball late, I'm not concerned about J Rodgers.

Cruz to Dez is a HUGE upgrade. Dez will be the #2 ranked WR (Trent Dilfer in an ESPN analyst league took him above Calvin), Cruz is somewhere around #12 in my mind and that foot injury scares me, feet and WRs/TEs/RBs just dont mix well.

Sanders is better than Tompkins but I actually believe Tompkins has more upside, mainly is the injury prone Amendola goes down.

I think you have constructed on hell of a trade and should pull the trigger.

    Your lineup would be:
    Romo
    Rice
    S Jax
    Mcfadden
    Dez
    Marshall
    TE
    DEf
    K

and then a bench that includes:
    Lamar Miller
    Tompkins
    Stevie J
    TY
    Vincent Brown

    That's nice.

    forte > s jax
    cruz < dez
sanders = thompkins (some at projecting thompkins crazy high, but there's way to be sure at this point. I think expected value with risk/reward makes this even)

I'd say this is a pretty even deal. If you like Dez that much, then you can pull the trigger. Personally, I'd rather have Forte and your 2 WR's... Dez is great, but SJax has some risk factors at least. But I don't think it's a bad deal to take
