Same thing happened to Brees the previous possession. If the pocket collapses (especially when the defense is only rushing the base 4), there are only a select few who can escape pressure consistently.
Sure mays could have done better . But an average safety will get there in time and make the tackle . Keo is just terrible , he missed that tackle by so much.
I agree. This is probably on Kubiak too. I feel Kubiak is running plays to get AJ, and Daniels open. I suspect he is not calling plays to get Jean, Martin, Posey catches; if they are open then whatever throw it. I don't think Kubiak calls plays to see what the young guys are capable of. Preseason should be about this type of experimentation. We already know that these plays will yield catches from the vets, we've seen it for years. I think it is strange that Martin, Jean and Posey (at the end of last season) will show so much promise and then just fall off a cliff.
Don't be. They're going to carry 4. Reed, Manning, Swearinger, and ??? Keo's better than Pleasant, so he's definitely on the team. I think they have him higher on the depth chart than Swearinger at the moment.
