No. Have no real interest in going to Europe (but I wouldn't turn down a free ticket) I'm not in a place financially where I can afford to travel so far realistically. I'm also not in the correct place research wise where I feel I need to be before I go to any one african nation. Why do you ask?
Because I think you could learn a lot from seeing other countries. It could help you overcome some of your prejudices.
I have seen a few other nations and have spent significant time in 2 of them. What prejudices do you think I have?
You are arrogant and ignorant. A leader doesn't mean an elected official. Steele was referring to people who actually did much good for the black people. He lived during the civil rights movement and has a Ph.D.
Of course it isn't just limited to that....I was being ridiculous to make a point. Living during the civil rights movement and having a Ph.D doesn't automatically qualify you to identify and assign "black leaders" (whatever Steele means by that) Again, what makes the individuals he speaks of "black leaders"? There are over 1 billion black people on the planet.....most are probably not aware of their existence, much less do they follow these individuals. But let's assume he's talking about "african-american" leaders: Again....what qualifies him to call these individuals "black leaders"? I'm sure they have followers but I'm equally sure there are black people who cannot stand Al Sharpton and/or Jesse Jackson. ( myself for 1) They have their supporters to be sure....but how many out of the 40 million plus African people in the U.S? Are we talking 5%, 25%, 50% or higher? If Steele can't provide numbers then he is arbitrarily assigning the title of "leader" to notable black celebrities. So the question still remains, what criteria and authority is Steele using to call these individuals "leaders"? Is it any public figure with an opinion and a few vocal followers? What is it?
What does Dr King have to do with Mr. Steele arbitrarily assigning the title of "black leader" to notable black celebrities? SURELY you not suggesting that Dr. King was simply a "black leader".......to relegate him to such a box is an insult to the man's legacy. Not only does it limit the term "black", it also shows how Mr. Steele has failed to view us as a global people. We are a global people......when you say "black people" unless you break it down by specific locations, it is fair of us to assume that you are speaking for all of us world wide.
You've already demonstrated you don't know or care to learn jack **** about black people outside this country. If you disagree with Steele's particular identification black leaders, do some research and cite some others instead, don't just play dumb.
LMAO you can't be serious. You must not know who you are talking to if you really believe that.....either that or you haven't been reading anything I've posted on the last few pages. Either way......you are just plain wrong.....on multiple levels and for multiple reasons. This will be my last reply to posts that are not worthy of my consideration. Make sense and bring something new to the table if you want my response....this goes for all.
Sorry brah, but amaru doesn't have time for or interest in memes depicting non-African people. You must not have read anything amaru has posted here. Tsk tsk.
If a beautiful white woman of Nordic origin wanted to marry you and support you in your endeavors, would you say No?
