No thanks, we watch these movies regardless. Also he's way too old.

They could take a real risk and try to make a Black Lightning or Black Panther film.

My initial reaction was argh! Then I remembered how good Affleck was in Argo, and I'm talking about his acting. You know, I recall Michael Keaton being announced as "the new Batman," and at the time, I just couldn't see him in the role. I was wrong then, and I hope I'm wrong now. Actually, I just hope the flick is better than the excrement that was the second half of Man of Steel.

I can't believe I'm saying this but Ben Affleck is actually a worse choice than Keanu Reeves would have been. Yeah, that's right, I'd rather have Neo over Gigli, and so would you. Admit it.

I would have thought a lot of boomers and gen-Xers up to that point had only seen Adam West in those goofy re-runs, and might not have even known what type of movie to expect, let alone a good fit at the time. Cruise, Sheen, Russell, Quaid, Bacon, Dillon, Lowe, Rourke?

Derek Jeter and John Mayer have him beat easily, but my #1 right now has to go to Justin Timberlake. Just google his dating history

Everyone knew the TV series was a comedy. This was Batman! Batman not for laughs. And they picked Micheal Keaton for the role? The guy was seen as a comedian, at least by me, and not worthy of playing the real dude. He turned out to be terrific. Maybe Affleck will be better than we expect. I hope so. Like I said, I just hope the whole flick is better than the second half of Man of Steel, which blew chunks, in my humble opinion.

I think Tom Hardy would have been a much better choice.

George Clooney had the voice for batman, too bad he didn't pan out.
Christian Bale's voice was horrible. He was batman with throat cancer.
However, Bale really pulled off batman's character.

You know it really does seem to be true that a lot of the hate about this casting stems from that one utterly horrible period in his career when he dated Jennifer Lopez. That and people see Daredevil as a reason he can't do Batman. Well the Afleck of Chasing Amy, Good Will Hunting, Dogma, The Town and Argo is pretty solid. Hell even his work in popcorn stuff like Armageddon and Sum of All Fears was decent. And Daredevil was not his fault; that blame might go to the guy who directed it along with Ghost Rider and When in Rome.

I was initially put off by the casting, but I'm growing more interested to see what he can do with the role. Ultimately I think we'll be pleasantly surprised.

I'm betting a whole lot less people will be watching those movies with gigli as the lead.

Days later, this is still ridiculous. Ben Affleck? Frealz?

Oh well. It's just $25 I won't have to spend on a movie.

While I'm not thrilled about Affleck, I was hardly enamored with the idea of Bale or Heath Ledger and they both proved me wrong.

I still don't like the idea of a Batman/Superman movie, so if the movie is gonna suck it won't be because of Affleck. Its hard to move on from this recent streak of excellence Batman has been on. And Superman has always been overpowered and lame.

I would have much preferred a Batman Beyond continuation of the current series.

Looks like Benny will have his hand in writing the script as well

Aside from all the editing, I rather enjoyed Man of Steel.

Hahahaha! Damon as Aquaman is perfect. They should let Seanbaby write the scripts for him though:
