I'll parphrase what I posted in the O'Bannion thread. Fanboys were wrong about Ledger because their understanding of film, particularly acting, is remidial at best. People who really understand cinema were aware of Ledger's talents so there was not the outcry that fanboys displayed. As a film connoisseur, the outcry over O'Bannion is very much warranted. He's a bad actor, period. There is nothing in his body of work that comes close to even the worst Ledger performance prior to TDK.
I wish the portrayal of batman can be like the one in the cartoons... Would it kill the mofo to do a backflip?

Ledger was a risk as he did not have any previous experience to compare. Ledger took his role seriously and knocked it out of the park. If I recall, his role contributed to him taking his life. Affleck has a decent enough batman look for me not to complain. His acting is atrocious. He's a one dimensional actor who best role plays as a whiney arrogant prick.
Looks like there may be no legs to the Cranston rumor. Because of recent WB decision making, I'm gonna belieb until I get confirmation. By confirmation I mean Chapelle Show R Kelly skit type confirmation.
I can accept the fact that Affleck is going to be the next Batman. I can even accept that kid from Glee as the Flash. But no way in hell will I support a movie with this waste of human life. Yes I may be overreacting just a bit. YOLO.
