Though production on "The Untitled Zack Snyder Super Hero Film," which is what the studio is currently calling the Superman/Batman movie, won't begin production until sometime next year, actor Ben Affleck has already started getting in shape for the role. US Weekly reports that the actor is spending two hours a day in the gym to get his physique ready for the role, and if it's anything like stars Henry Cavill and Antje Traue's work outs, it is pretty intense. It was announced last night that Affleck will take on the iconic role in the Zack Snyder-directed film. In addition, Man of Steel's Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman in the film along with co-stars Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane. The new film is being scripted by David S. Goyer from a story he co-created with Zack Snyder. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan and Wesley Coller serving as executive producers. It is scheduled to hit theaters on July 17, 2015. http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/178907-ben-affleck-has-begun-training-to-become-batman
So lemme get this straight: Makes Good Will Hunting Gets to play Daredevil Bangs J Lo Bangs Jennifer Garner Makes Argo Plays Batman ... Where is this guys luckiest man in America award and why haven't we given it to him?
J Lo is overrated, you can pull hotter than that at like Drink Houston and Garner nobody really seems to like for some reason.
Garner to me is one of those girls that gets overlooked, but honestly if I ended up with her I'd be happy. J Lo isn't spectacularly hot, but I wouldn't kick out of the bed for eating crackers.
You know people keep using this as an example and thus diluting themselves with false hope. What fanboys failed to realize about Ledger was that he had a significant body of work prior to TDK. Those of us who follow film, not just fanboy drivel, knew the quality and range of Ledgers acting talent. I mean before TDK the guy had an Oscar nomination in what Daniel Day Lewis, along with many others, felt was the best performance (Brokeback Mountain) by a male of the decade. Conversely, there is absolutely nothing in the O'Bannion cannon that comes close to the quality of Ledger prior to TDK. His range is limited, he's one dimensional in the same way that Ryan Reynolds, George Clooney, Ryan Phillippe etc.. What charisma he has is that of smarmy frat boy type. So believe what you want but this is a without a doubt a bad choice.
Certainly sounds better than Affleck. I like Ben Affleck though. He's a great director and he's the right fit for specific parts. He'll be a terrible Batman though. I wonder what the chances are they change their mind after this type of reaction from the internet.
Noob question. I've never seen any of the Batman series, but why didn't they get Christian Bale to continue as him?
Because Bale is a legit actor and wouldn't do it without Nolan, regardless of how much they offered him.
Man, they are going to ruin the Man of Steel reboot that quick? Bad casting choice. Not because Affleck is a bad actor but because he doesn't have the acting ability to portray Batman. If I were a betting man I would bet the house that Affleck will suck as Batman. And I actually thought he wasn't terrible as Daredevil, a movie that gets way too much hate when it just was average. Now, Elektra movie on the other hand was just terrible in every possible sense of the word.
