I think with the addition of brewer we are deeper team than the Dubs 1st Unit=OFFENSE PG=LIN SG=HARDEN SF=PARSONS PF=DMO 2nd Unit=DEFENSE PG=BEVERLEY/BROOKS/CANAAN SG=BREWER/WILLIAMS SF=GARCIA/CASSPI PF=TJONES/GREG SMITH C=ASIK/CAMBY
can i just tell you how excited i am for the Rockets-Clips, and the Rockets-Warriors battles we are gonna have this year. We always seem to bring our A-game when we play OKC, and San Antonio seems to have everyone's number, but the Clips and the Warriors will both be improved from last year ...and hungry. Super-competitive in the West! Don't think i've been this excited for an NBA season in over a decade.
When was the last time Bogut played a full season pimpn? Exactly,, a long time ago. The Rockets beat the breaks off of these jokers three times. We just added Howard and some much need help on the bench. Therefore we gotten at least 5 times better than them IMO. But time will tell real soon. Basketball season will be here before we know it..lol
why you guix just telling how good other teams why dont you analyze what our team can do too!...If last year when ASIK is on the Floor we are one of the top defensive teams and now we can maintain that defense with dwight and asik for 48 minutes well see if the PF spot can Improve...and since the arrival of Brewer we are much deeper now we have a Defensive Bench with Bev,Brewer,Garcia,Jones,Asik
I hope we meet them in the second round next season. It would be a blood bath. The record for most threes in a series would be broken...in the first three games haha. The team with the better bench should win, cuz I think the starting lineups are pretty equal, ours just a little better.
From my own ranking calculations - Rockets has a value of 1626 vs Warriors value of 1587. That only put us at about winning at a ratio of 51:49 - so it's a close call with a slight edge to rockets.
I am not really sold on Warriors. Iggy was a great move but by looking at their roster, it's off balanced. They have loaded up on their perimeter and weaken their front line. They are literary gambling their season on the health of Bogut, who only played 43 games for the last two years. If he is healthy, they are a formidable foe. Who do they have if he isn't? A second-year Ezeli and a 35-year old O'Neal. Until they prove they can stay healthy, mainly injury-prone Bogut and Curry, Warriors are more hype than substance. I project them to finish 6th.
Ezeli looks very serviceable and O'Neal has been playing good ball. Those are pretty good backups actually. I agree that health is the main concern, but the warriors are deep and formidable. Iggy will improve their win total, and they've got a lot of young pieces that are getting better with mre minutes on the court. Houston-GS is shaping up to be an epic rivalry.
A Warriors vs Rockets playoff matchup would be epic. Six to seven games of instant Hardwood Classics.
This. I've watched quite a number of Warriors' games from last season and i must say that they are truly fun to watch. Which is exactly one reason why people tend to overrate or overhype them. I call them "eye candy". Fans love to see high scoring fast paced game with long range snipers such as Steph and Klay and up and coming talents like Barnes. This off-season, they've added an elite wing defender in Igoudala but lost a couple of signifant role players in Jack and Landry. Those two were HUGE for them last season, especially Jarret Jack. Not to mention how Iggy would take away minutes from Barnes and Klay but it will be a good problem to have. I personally think their lineup was better last season. Jack and Landry > Iggy
You know i speak the truth pimpin! One thing that the Rockets and Warriors have in common is both are up and coming teams to watch out for in the West. Homer cap aside, i would still choose our roster going forward since we have arguably the best center and shooting guard in the NBA for the next several years.
The Rockets and Warriors are VERY simular IMO, right now it boils down to thier health vs the results of the Rockets' addition of D12. That's whats going to seperate them. All things being equal: I'd say the Rockets prevail. I love me some inside-out with a killer on the perimeter. Harden and D12 are going to be Shaq and Kobe-esque this season... I'm calling it now.
Ezeli and ONeal are not starter-quality centers. ONeal, at 35, is only capable of 20 min. That's his max output. Ezeli is just too green to play more than 16 min against starting centers. You have to remember Warriors dont have Landry or Biedrins anymore, whom shared 32 min/game. So far, Warriors only fulfilled 20 of those minutes with ONeal. If Bogut is out, where will that 12 min come from?? The numbers just don't add up.
LOL I guess Warriors FO saw the same problem as I did. They are adding their second rounder from 2012 draft--7'2" Ognjen Kuzmic. http://www.hoopsworld.com/ognjen-ku...ampaign=ognjen-kuzmic-headed-to-join-warriors
