Spencer Morris is a contributor for The Crawfish Boxes. Here's his 2 cents on Tyler Kolek:

My favorite HS pitcher in this class right now has to be Kolek. Lowest I've seen Beede ranked. I've been trying to figure out why so many still considered him a top 5 pick.

I'm surprised to see Jeff Hoffman that high. He's a great pitcher, but hittable. I saw him pitch against Rice this past year.
Would you rather have him not post his recaps/highlights? I come to this part of the bbs more than the GARM nowadays because of tellitlikeitis.
Apparently he was great at the Cap showing a mid-90s fastball, a plus curve, and potential average or plus change. McDaniels actually had him ahead of Rodon until very recently and compared him favorably to Appel. Perfectgame.org also raved about this summer performance. He's going have to keep it up next year, but the package sounds like a top-of-the-rotation skill set.
You can't please everyone and lately I've been one of those folks. I think the content is very good, in fact I suggested he legitimately try for the Astros beat writer position. That being said, I do feel that his posting style is more appropriate on twitter and/or a website like crawfishboxes. The tone of his threads is more posting articles than posting on a discussion board. Does tellit drive more traffic to the Astros forum, no doubt. But you gotta keep in mind it's a discussion board not his own personal blog. There are countless other Astros websites like Astros county, crawfishboxes, climbingtalshill that do exactly what he does, only on their own websites. Maybe it's just me, but the content is often smug and almost condescending at times. I enjoy getting Astros updates too but I personally have almost stopped reading the constant prospect masturbation and I was so right about xyz tone. /signing off and getting back to doctor stuff.
Respectfully disagree. I enjoy tellitlikeitis's content as well as his delivery. It's obvious to me that this is his passion, and I actually prefer the attitude and emotion in his delivery rather than "professional, serious" type of responses. But to each his own, not necessarily saying that your opinion is wrong or anything. Either way, I've found myself to be much more informed about the Astros' minor league system, thanks mostly to tellitlikeitis.
He does do that sometimes, and so do plenty of people on this board. He's also in his early 20s, so that may have something to do with it. His contributions to this section are great, especially if you don't want to follow several blogs, twitter, and boxscores yourself. I enjoy the writing style itself. I agree with you on his writing. I like it. It makes it easier to read.
Tellit is just a little possessive about his territory. He strangely gets on people if they say something that he already talked about. He just acts weird about it at times, but I assume he is in his teens, so that awkward interaction with humans comes with the territory.
Hell no. Some older posters are obviously butthurt because you are contributing way more than they ever have. Keep up the good work, please! Most of us look forward to anything and everything that you post.
