A lot of people in my league are calling to get rid of waiver wires, though I think they're there for a reason. What are the pro's/con's to having/not having waiver wires?

I'd say Richardson is safer but Spiller has higher upside. It's really up to preference at that point, can't go wrong with either one. I'd probably take Spiller, because you have to take some risks if your going to win it all.

Thanks Bud. I was going with spiller too! both are injury prone, but i feel like with a new and improved coaching staff up there in buffalo, spiller can do some work.

Hell no, keep Rice and Romo. Romo isn't that bad of a qb like most people think.

Like you can add/drop at any time? Not having waiver wires only helps those without a life.

I like both but would go Spiller, but there is a contingent of people that seem to swear a healthy Fred Jackson will get a lot of touches.

So how do you guys rank the rbs after the obvious ones:
(Ad, foster, martin, lynch, charles, rice, spiller, mccoy, richardson, morris)

Any rookie rbs that you would take a chance on?

You're forgetting Reggie Bush and Sproles who are PPR monsters, that I would put in the 2nd tier, but none ppr, they're still in this list somewhere.

WR: Mike Wallace, Dwayne Bowe, Jordy Nelson, Tavon Austin, Vincent Brown

    TE: Kyle Rudolph

    K: Steve Hauschka

    DEF: Chicago

Great job on the RBs, that only will put you ahead of the fantasy game.
WRs are pretty good, it's weird that you listed Mike Wallace first though, might be your worst WR, I try to avoid him, loving Bowe for a big year, Nelson is ify and then some upside with your other guys.
Rudolph is one of the most overrated TEs this year but it depends on where you got him in the draft obviously.
DEF is solid with the Bears but don't expect the same # of TDs as last year.
QB, I like Dalton and think he will have a very good year, that being said, he should be a strong back up QB, not a starter. No point in having Schaub on your team, I'd rather use that roster spot on another high upside RB/WR and hope for the best. Look if Jordan Cameron is still available (TE - Cleveland) and try to pick him up if everyone passed on him.
Try to improve your QB situation if you can get your hands on a top tier QB in a trade after a few weeks, or pick up the "hot" QB that surprises everyone. Vick, for example, has huge upside and would be a much better bet than Schaub on your team.

I really like your running backs. Rice is consistent and CJ should do well. A lot of upside with your other backs and good handcuff with pierce.

Qb is iffy though. I like Dalton more than Schaub for fantasy but do you have any other options in FA? Wrs are decent overall as well. Maybe if one of your backup rbs do well, you can upgrade there/qb.

    First auction draft(non ppr):
    QB: Stafford, Freeman
RB: Richardson, Spiller, Vereen, Deangelo Williams, Lamar Miller
WR: Green, Julio Jones, Cobb, Garcon, Shorts
    TE: Jordan Cameron
    K: Dawson
    D/ST: Bengals

I dropped Freeman for Boldin, and someone dropped Gronk so I picked him up and got rid of Williams.

    New Depth Chart:
    Stafford
    Richardson, Spiller, Vereen, Miller
Green, Jones, Cobb, Boldin, Short, Garcon
    Cameron, Gronk
    Dawson
    Bengals

Should I move my Wr's + Stafford for a better QB? I can't wait for Gronk to come back so I can dominate games.

RBs are good but not deep. RBs get injured the most by far. If there is anyone on the waiver wire that has upside potential, go grab them to add depth (Richardson, Hillman, Powell, DeAngelo, Bryce Brown, anyone). Your team looks good now, but if Jackson goes down, all of sudden you have a huge hole. You can basically never have too many RBs.
Like the QB situation, but Schaub isn't that good of a QB, I would almost drop him and pick up another RB. If you look in your league, there will always be solid QBs to pick up for bye weeks or injuries. Schaub is not going to replace Wilson unless Wilson gets injured, Texans will always be run first. Drop him, use your depth wisely, and you'll be fine at QB being able to pick up someone like Roethles, Palmer, Vick, Weeden, Schaub, Freeman, etc when you need a QB.
Great job on WRs, balance risk and reward well there too.
Apparently you are a Texans fan but here is where this will bite you: Bullock and Texans D/ST. On the Texans Bye week you'll have to either drop those or drop TWO players from your roster in order to fill in just for one week. By dropping Bullock now and picking up the best kicker (or doing this after like week 1), you only need to drop one player each week to play in bye weeks. If you like Houston so much, pick up my sleeper kicker in Dustin Hopkins (K- Buffalo) who graduated from Clear Lake High School here in Houston.

The Gronk + Cameron combo is KILLER, I got it through the draft in one of my leagues too. Problem is, they have the same bye week though. If Cameron starts off hot (as I expect he will) and Gronk looks to be coming back, trade Cameron and cash in, pick up a waiver wire TE to fill in for Gronks bye week. You could get good value for Cameron in my mind.
I like Stafford/Bengals D/ST, good job on no back up QB, helps your depth. Don't trade Stafford, he and Romo are the best QB values right now, you wouldn't get a good trade value for him.
Green, Julio and Cobb could all be top 6 WRs in PPR, non PPR, they'll still be very solid. Because of this, I would drop Cecil or Boldin (probably Boldin) and try to pick up another RB. RB depth can never be overdone.

Not home right now but I'll ask you about which Rb to pick up when I get there

Yeah, that works, I check this thread often. Your key here for RB is looking for a RB that COULD be a top 24 (or w/e #) RB if certain things happen and how likely they are to happen.
Heck worst case scenario, pick a RB in Pittsburgh and hope for the best, but there might be better ones available.
