Sorry I'm bored & it's the offseason. I'll start. (Read the post first) (Semi big picture) Spoiler <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/SOZROoCG6_4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/XbrSgu-cybI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I was in a creepy hotel hallway kinda like the one above except it didnt end & ALL of the room doors were slightly opened with darkness behind every crack. My dream was in black & white. So i was running down the hallway trying to find an exit but it never ended. All of the sudden while im still running one of the doors opens to my right, something grabs me& i wake up. This is what my room looks like: my bed is facing the dresser with the flat screen on top of it so it's the first sight i see when i wake up everyday (since i sleep facing up). After i wake up i'm like holy **** that was trippy. All of the sudden my vision gets cut in a diagonal way & i see a bloody water mark start to gush from the diagonal cut (imagine first person looking at this through my eyes [For DBZ watchers, I can describe it similar to when Frieza gets cut in half by trunks & sees it through his eyes 0:46-0:52]). Im thinking WTF SOMEBODY JUST ****ING MURDERED ME. Plus when I got cut the music from insidious starts playing too (as seen above mainly the part that starts at 1:11). So i'm just like damn i'm dead & then i wake up again.... With the same exact scenery that i thought i "woke up to" the first time but this time i actually woke. So i actually had inception. By far the scariest nightmare i've ever had. What's yours?
I have a reoccurring one that I'm waiting tables again. I'm extremely in the weeds and can't get caught up. Every time I look at my section the customers are looking back at me with empty drinks and appear pissed off. As i struggle, more people are being seated. The manager is yelling at me, and I can't get the order entered into the computer correctly. I then wake up covered in sweat panting. This nightmare makes no sense unless you ever worked in a restaurant, but it's terrible.
I have a reoccuring one where I'm back at university during finals and I'm staring at an exam I haven't studied for at all. I feel utterly helpless then I wake up relieved.
That I somehow could hear and feel the pain of every person on this Earth. Every murder, every assault, theft, rape, betrayal, heart break, abandonment, by all (at the time) six billion people. Eventually, I couldn't stand the pain or horror anymore. I killed myself. Upon my death, a white light then the picture came into focus. I was right back where I had been, with the same curse of feeling everybody's pain, only this time it was amplified more. However, the bonus was that I could also hear their wishes and thoughts. My lifespan increased (I felt stronger despite being nearly 80 years of age in the nightmare). That only increased my misery. After 4-5 suicides, the process kept repeating and my lifespan neared 1000 years old. By the time I woke up, it was horrible because I felt all six billion people were aware that I had left the nightmare by waking up. It was quite terrifying. It stayed with me for days.
I used to have a lot of dreams about drowning or being under water, but not one that I could say scared the hell out of me. The one that did scare the hell out of me was when I was in my teens. I was being chased around my neighborhood by the characters from the Q*bert video game. They were all taunting me and telling me what they were going to do once they caught me. I felt like I was running forever. And I never even played Q*bert. I only played Ms Pac-Man and Galaga.
I used to have this dream whenever I'd get sick -- it was almost like a hallucination -- that I was in a sort of very large rock shaft with a piston coming down on me and smashing me slowly as I tried to push back on it. The only way I was able to avoid being smashed as to wake up on straighten out my blanket such that there were no wrinkles. That used to scare the **** out of me. I'd wake up with the sweats afraid to fall into sleep again, but unable to resist. Each time I fell back asleep, the shaft would change from vertical to horizontal and vice versa.
Back when I used to do a serious about of blow, like 4 days on and 3 off, I would get this same dream where I was trapped in the ceilings of West Oaks Mall and it was full of zombies trying to tear me apart. Worst nightmare ever!
This is definitely not the scariest nightmare I've ever had, but it's pretty memorable. I was in an enclosed icy cave with a bunch of penguins, and I was watching them all slide around. Then, they all stood up straight and stared at me with red, glowing eyes. They started waddling toward me with the intent to, I don't know, peck me to death or something. I woke up frightened. Then I realized how pathetic it was that I was scared.
Once when I was sick I was literally hallucinating baseballs were raining down on me. I was completely flipping out. Then another recurring nightmare I had was about killer, cybernetic dogs chasing me around some warehouse/industrial complex at night.
