    I've driven over 100 back in my college days, on a random stretch between Austin & Houston around midnight.

    But nowdays I rarely drive over 75.

    I did 105 in my rav4 on the I-10 stretch from San Antonio to El Paso. I was still getting passed up by motorcycles and sports car. Lol

    Can only imagine the idiots in Nascar driving twice that speed. LOL

    162 on I-10 going to Canyon Lake without the rev limiter in my sold 2008 HR 500+ rwhp Z toy. 180+ on a trip to Austin in a friends modified GTR, and it felt like we were going 80.

    I did 125 miles per hour on a Pontiac 6000 on a straightaway near El Paso one time back in 1996. I will NOT do it again... EVER. :eek:

    i think 122 between houston and austin. would have gone faster, but my car automatically bumps down 15 mph when i hit that speed.

    Still the only place I've been pulled over. I was going about 95, definitely not the fastest car around (when there were cars) and got pulled over for speeding in the middle of nowhere. Why don't we just make that stretch of I-10 the Autobahn? It's not like there are many compelling reasons for going slower through west Texas.

    I was going over 100 in a challenger rental car on the northeast Beltway. That thing is deserted. In my own car, I never go over 90. I've been caught in lines on the Katy and sw going 90. Looked down to see how fast I was going and moved over.

    160 on a motorcycle? Dang that sounds kinda dangerous... what happens if a full vehicle hits you when on a motorcycle at that speed?
