Frankly, a championship before year three.

Year three is a ways to go yet. For next season I just want to see them gel and I want to see EFFORT and no WHINING about who is number one or number two etc.

If they can build chemistry and be willing to sacrifice for each other on the court, they are talented enough with a good enough supporting cast around them that the rest will fall into place by itself.

Dwight probably has more questions to answer than Harden with the LA hounds at his heels and the Orlando shadow still lingering over him, so the spotlight will likely be on him more.

I think that's going to force him to be a team guy, whether he is deep down or not, but then a leopard never really changes his spots and if he really is a selfish locker room cancer as some have claimed, sooner or later, it'll show and Morey won't look like such a genius anymore.

This post sounded a lot more negative than I intended it to be. I remain optimistic but with that small niggling doubt that will only really go away when we see 'em in action throughout this season.

I agree about Harden. He's gotta put in the effort and lead by example on the court.

It would be REALLY NICE if Howard could improve his FT% but I don't think it's a make or break issue. For me, it's more important that Howard be willing to sacrifice what he might WANT and do what he is GOOD at and what the team NEEDS.

From the stuff he's said about wanting to play with Asik and being at the PF spot etc. it sounds like mentally he's in the kind of space we need him to be right now.

At the end of the day, stars, superstars, megastars are just words and people will define them subjectively.

Is Melo a superstar? What's he achieved for the knicks? Is that kind of superstar you want?

I think Harden and Dwight are both superstars. Both in terms of their elite ability as well as their popularity.

However that means' jack shiet till they deliver a title, or at least, a shot at a title, which Dwight already did at Orlando, and I'm sure he doesn't want to be remembered as that guy who went to the finals once.

Agreed. His numbers don't need to be too much higher than what he did last season as long as he does this.
