I didn't even read past the 2nd sentence of your post because you're obviously not grasping the meaning of my comment. At all. ESPN sucks at reporting, that's the only assessment I wanted to make regarding that article. I don't care who or what they report right now, simply pointing to how weak their sources are in this particular story.
Sorry I didn't read past the first letter of your post. Sure doesn't defeat the purpose of replying to it.
You're right. Alabama is rolling. Well, they've been rolling since they lost at home in November. Man why can't I remember more about that game.
In an email to 12th Man Foundation members, Texas A&M athletic director Eric Hyman addressed the latest regarding sophomore quarterback Johnny Manziel. ... Hyman wrote: “Everyone wants to know the status of our quarterback, Johnny Manziel. As we have stated previously, our practice is to not discuss such matters publicly. Our foremost priority, regardless of the circumstances, is to protect and support our student-athletes while also upholding the integrity of the University and complying with NCAA rules and regulations. “There simply is no blueprint for handling what Johnny and his family have gone through since December. What we have done is surround Johnny with a support network of dedicated staff from the areas of administration, academics, scheduling, compliance, media relations, and even security to assist him during these unprecedented times. Texas A&M also has retained the services of one of the most respected legal firms in the country, Lightfoot, Franklin & White, to assist us. “Any decisions we make regarding this situation will be based on an analysis of available facts. Be assured that we would like to reach a resolution as quickly as possible, but at this stage, we are not in a position to speculate on a specific timeline.” Link
I'm just happy that the state of Alabama has one thing to be proud of, other than the unofficial state motto "At least we're not Mississippi".
No. If you read the statement carefully, you'll see that they are saying that they are investigating, etc etc. they are setting the wheels in motion to play Johnny and have a defense if the NCAA later claims a lack of institutional control. They are building documentation of the institutional effort to comply with NCAA regs.
Everytime I see this thread bumped on the BBS homepage my heart drops a little as I think, "****, what now."
I still have fond memories of going to see the basketball team at the Hollar House on the Brazos. We were awful, but it was a lot of fun. I, for one, will miss it.
