So, because his favorites are in New York and Napa, he is a douche? The OP did ask "absolute favorite restaurant".

My favorite restaurants are so exclusive and secret that I can't even mention them in, well... we call all of you "regulars" - presence.

perhaps im not sophisticated enough for this thread,
i like the simpler things in life, beer wings and sports
ive been to many a wing place and by far my favorite
is wings n more in the woodlands, above average bar area
and the best patio ive been to, the wings are better than
the other wings n more that used to be around,
the only thing is they need to upgrade tvs on the patio

some of you need to keep your D&D hate in the D&D...attacking a poster for liking restaurants in Napa and NYC? Sheesh...

That's a tough question, OP. Not sure I can answer...I like a lot of restaurants here but not sure there is one that I just "love"

    Two small kids so I don't eat out nearly enough...unless it's Tex-Mex

I don't have an absolute favorite. I like the premise of Fogo de Chao, but some of their meat is so-so.

First time I went and I found out that they just keep giving endless cuts of red meat I nearly died.

Meh, all this middle brow banter.

Pappy's ftw. You don't have to be told how good that chicken fried steak is.

I haven't lived in Houston since I was 18 about 20yrs ago, so I can't really comment on current restaurants down there but...

Has Fuzzy's made its way to Houston yet? I could eat their Grilled Shrimp tacos everyday. The rest of the food is decent, but not the best.

There's a place in Fort Worth called La Familia over in the cultural district - great great food, but the salsa is meh.

For Salsa, there's a whole in the wall called Dos Molinas in Northside - hands down the best salsa in Fort Worth

In Houston, I miss Cafe Adobe on Westheimer, that Tex Mex place nearby on Montrose, and the Casa Ole green sauce. We had a great restaurant in North Shore called Stef's that was good too.

Gringo's is pretty much my spot for Tex-Mex.

I been there twice and enjoyed it better than Chuys.

But Chuys green chiles menu is to die for and there creamy jalapeno sauce.

I know I will come off sounding like a prick saying this, but from reading this list it's really obvious who has lived in the suburbs all of their life, and who has spent time inside the loop. And for the record, I live in the burbs myself now, so I'm just as dead on the inside as the rest of you. I'm out in Clear Lake now and great resturants are what I miss the most. I've found myself going to Cheescake Factory several times a week for God's sake. And liking it! :)

Have you tried Kings Chicken on NASA Parkway? Peruvian rotisserie style chicken and its da bomb!

Mughal and Cusine of Indian are always solid for Indian buffets.

Shalamar on Highway 3 is a nice spot for cheap Indian food.

There was a Tex-Mex place on Bay Area right by Taco Bell. I think old Pizza Hut location. But I think it shut down. Probably one of the best tex-mex places ever, but don't think they were doing to well.

Al Basha Mediterranean Grill on Bay Area I heard is pretty damn good, but I've never been.

Perrys Steakhouse, Frenchies, Tokyo Bowl are always good.

All in all Clear Lake actually has some decent spots for a suburb.

You have 0 pedigree ..and it's not even funny.

unlike you, I dont have to brag about BK or this or that ..on a bbs board no less. The whole board calls you out 24/7 as a poser. it's phenomenal really.

You wouldnt know opulence if it slapped you in the face. Keep on texxing and carrying that new money torch all the way to the trailer we all know you came from.

I grew up in clear lake. To me the best places to eat there are

    Pizza King in league city
wael's on space center and bay area blvd.
Pier 8 seafood in seabrook (just across from kemah)

Also I had king's chicken once and it was pretty good.
