bought a new cologne on a recent visit to italy.....bought it at a drugstore for just 30 euros...smells amazing though....kind of a citrusy blend of issey miyake and celine http://images.search.yahoo.com/imag...i=13241bn7a&.crumb=YfvvkIXLNS/&fr=yfp-t-315-s
Hey, L'homme intense (parfum) should be launching in the next month. It smells amazing. Give it a shot when it comes out.
I've used it in the past and loved it. When I first smelled it, I just thought it was "decent", but when I wore it, I loved it. I still have a tiny amount left that I'm leaving for a rainy day.
Heard about this and am definitely looking forward to sampling it. How did you smell it already? Are samples available yet? Do you have the EDT or PP? I really liked the PP, but some people prefer the EDT. Guess I'm gonna have to sample the EDT before I buy one... hopefully they won't be different enough to where I need to buy both lol.
I had a meeting with our YSL account executive and got to try it a few weeks ago. It's very nice. Great for a winter scent. I've also been wearing a lot of Fendi pour homme lately. It's good stuff!
By Kilian is one of my favorite houses. You should try Bamboo Harmony and Prelude to Love. They are not rancid to the average person. I was at the doctor's office, and a pretty lady asked me what I was wearing. She wanted to buy some for her husband. As for Bond No 9, I recommend Chez Bond (very similar to Green Irish Tweed and Cool Water, but better in my opinion because it lasts longer and projects more on my skin than those two). Also, consider Riverside Drive, the Hamptons (Creed's Silver Mountain Water beats it slightly), and Little Italy. All three are summer fragrances perfect for Houston's humidity.
Terre d'Hermes is one of the top designer fragrances released the past decade (along with Dior Homme, Lalique Encre Noire, YSL Rive Gauche, Cartier Declaration, and Gucci Pour Homme I). It will go down as a modern classic. Try to track down the Parfum version of TDH. It's hard to find (best to buy a sample online) in stores. Take the EDT of TDH, and make it come closer to your body. Dial up the intensity of TDH, and make it less spicy. I still prefer the EDT version for the versatility.
They have the Parfum version at Sephora and I got them to make me a sample. I need to go back and get a sample of the EDT so I can compare them. So you're saying if you had to get one, you'd get the EDT? In your opinion, are they different enough to warrant getting both? Thanks.
This is what I was worried about, lol. I'll probably end up getting a 6.7oz of both, which should last me years. Have you ever tried layering the EDT and PP together? Some people swear by this and say it brings out the best of both...
FYI : On, FragranceNet.com, you can get a "vial on a card" (like the samples you usually get) of EDT and the parfum for around $2-$3 each with their current 20% off coupon.
NO cologne! I can already smell your soap & deo. Mild, neutral aftershave at most. If you get to wear overpowering perfume, I get to scream in your ear hole & flash my privates etc. without repercussion. Jmo.
^I already regret that post. I think I'm oversensitive, & that's an MP, not a YP. Wear what makes you feel good. Just please don't touch me, with your hands. Sometimes I'LL be wearing that stuff until I change shirts.
It's all good. I can understand your issue if you have an oversensitive nose. Also, I agree it can be annoying if someone massively oversprays - usually it's the younger crowd that commits this offense. I recently smelled some high school kid's cologne from 20 feet away in a parking lot. However, I rarely smell fragrance on anyone so it's not a big deal for me. I honestly have no idea how any dude wearing cologne would transfer it onto you though, unless you're allowing excessive contact. Only time I get scent transfer is from the strip club... I'll still smell like stripper the next morning, but I never mind that smell
lol nice, thanks for understanding el gnomo. One specific example is someone I used to work with who I don't think even washed his hands after applying cologne. He's a shoulder/backslapper, daily unnecessary hand shaker etc. Might have been doing it to specifically troll me though. Extreme example, but it transferred, & it stuck. I can't even handle church, banquets, anything where older women congregate. The older they get, the more they want to wear. Church is a cacophony of odor that's almost painful. Some men are just as bad. I don't understand the point, you're not fooling anyone, no one thinks you smell like that. I think the goal should be clean, non offensive, no rotting BO etc. The basics- soap, deo, aftershave. Not overpowering musk/pine/vanilla etc. Same principle with fake body parts, hair, eye color etc. (none of which are anywhere near as offensive as smell, I can close my eyes & not see that stuff, but even if I breath through my mouth I'm still tasting perfume).
