Your absolute favorite restaurant. If all of them went to war with each other, Demolition Man style, and you're left with one, which would you want it to be.

I can't live without Tex-Mex, so I think I'd go with Hula Hut in Austin (nevermind that it's 2.5 hrs away from me). It might not necessarily have the best Tex-Mex food out of all the places I've been, but it sits on the lake, has a laid back atmosphere and the shrimp pipeline enchiladas are so freakin' good. Every time I go to Austin, that's where I want to eat.

Now if I'm being practical and choose a place that's a little bit closer that I can visit every night if I wanted, I guess I'd go with Chuy's.

China Star at UH. Fed me plenty through my poor college days.

Uchiko in Austin is my favorite. I haven't been to Uchi Houston yet, but I suspect the quality is just as good as the originals.

I prefer to try something new instead of going back to a place I like. There are so many options, there's always that excitement of trying something new. Restaurants are like getting ass, the only thing better than good ass is different ass.

actually NYC and Napa. Although I do like many restaurants in France.

I love many Houston restaurants. My absolute favorite is probably Tony's. Coming in close behind are Marks and several steakhouses.

bigtexxx, the French Laundry's best days are in the past by now. I hate to admit I know that first hand (long boring story).

Might want to try Manresa in Los Gatos next time you're in the Bay Area for a high-end incredible meal. In San Francisco proper, I like to direct people to the completely underrated and affordable (relatively) Range.

I'm reading the Houston list with interest as I hope to actually visit the fine city of my birth this year.

I just bought season tickets with Dave2000, Kam, RickSmith, REEKO and the boys. Since I'm still in Boulder, I can't use them all. Do you want one to sit with the gang?

I was being honest. Those are my favorite restaurants.

I also like Whataburger and Chick-fil-a. You got a problem with that big boy?
