Rockets should at least reach 2nd round or bust. Accordingly, Harden and Howard and McHale will have to shoulder much of the blame if they don't win it all.
At least get out of the first round and compete in the second. Harden- 25 points, 8 assists 5 rebounds Howard- 21 points, 13 rebounds, 2 blocks The two of them playing together and getting along. Sacrificing a bit for the other when needed. Commitment to the two man game and developing it.
Not to mention making room for Lin or Parsons when they are having a hot game, and not always forcing the last minute shot.
25/8/5 Those are all time great numbers, only been done 11 different times: MJ x 1, LBJ x 1 and The Big O x 9. Would easily make him MVP. Lets hope you are right.
I expect them to be relied on when no one can buy a shot and to pay no attention to their own "touches" when others are on a hot streak.
if dwight is willing to run, i think 24 and 12 is do-able. i want to see harden do what he did last year - which is basically kick @ss.
I think once Harden commits more to defense, his offense is going to be a lot easier for him as well. Good defense translates to good offense. If we are predicting stats for the upcoming year.. Harden: similar numbers as last year, but more efficient. Less turnovers, hopefully around the same shooting percentages he had in his last year at OKC (49%fg, 39%3ptfg, 87%ft) Howard: 22ppg, 12-13rpg, 3bpg. He, as well, I think is going to be more efficient. And I'm hoping at least 60%ft. With Howard and Harden, we should be leading the league in free throws attempted, with those two being the leaders in attempts last year. Hopefully we capitalize, as a team. For the sake of it.. Parsons: 13ppg, 7rpg, 4apg. I think he is going to be a 50%fg, 40%3ptfg, 80%ft. The 40%3ptfg would be espesically nice! I think he is going to focus more on defense and playmaking, rather than offense like he did last year. Lin: I think he is going to make the biggest leap. 15ppg, 8apg, 3rpg, 2spg with shooting % like 45%fg, 36%3ptfg and fewer turnovers. If he can make a leap, this team will be so much more dangerous! Asik: 8ppg, 8rpg, 2bpg. I think he is going to be more aggressive defensively. And he has the stroke to be a 70+%ft shooter, but I would be ecstatic with 65%> Bev: 7ppg, 5rpg, 4apg with a steal. Solid backup pg numbers, Mr. 94 Feet. If Jones or Dmo give us around 10 and 7 in starter minutes, we'll be good.

Just pointing out you might have a motive for your "concern" about Harden's character. It seems the only people in the NBA world who've attempted to generate character issues about Harden, so far, have had agendas (some avid Lin fans and some butthurt OKC fans). This thread reminds me of the "has Harden ever given credit to teammates...?" And no, I'd rather not discuss with you about Mchale, I've gotten a clear picture of what you think of Mcfail with your repetitive posts.
