This was probably the only line I took away from that track.

Correction.. He had mixtapes drop before So Far Gone, "Room For Improvement" but most notably was "Comeback Season" which got him a decent following in the States. I'd say he was on the level of Logic right before Young Sinatra came out. Not known by 80% of hip hop fans but had a very strong 20% bubbling up. But Room For Improvement was hosted by DJ Smallz who had a heavy following audience in the South. That's how J Prince's son originally got put on to him.

Before So Far Gone he was really tight with Trey Songz who helped get his name out. This was when Drake actually spit with a passion.

So far no one mentioned on the song as come back at him.

Ortiz, Cassidy, Papoose, Lupe, and B.O.B are the ones that have so far. I think Lupe's is the best.

I bet Jay-Z will, but it will be a subliminal line or two somewhere...

I thought B.O.B's and Lupe's were both dope.

Why would Jay-Z fire back? Didn't Kendrick name him Eminem, Nas, and Andre 3000 as the top rappers?

Shade 45 on SiriusXM was playing a few of the responses this morning. The more I listen to Lupe's, the more I love it. For me, it's still a toss-up between him and Joelle Ortiz.

Best response so far. He went in at other rappers mentioned more than Kendrick though, which was hilarious. I lost it when I heard his lines about Meek.

I agree but Lupe's verse was on another level though. He mocked the **** out of kdot.

If only lupe brought that kind of energy to his albums..

Yeah B.O.B's was nice. I think Jay-Z would fire back because he said he's the king of New York. But I doubt he'd give it much attention, it would be silly of him to make a whole song about it like these other guys as there isn't much to win in that situation any ways.

I'm sure Pusha-T will get around to it, surprise it's not been sooner.

    Useless thread.
So many pages and no one posted the best reply to Kdot's verse yet.

Eminem and Papoose had the best response.

Well my point was he got to where he is through so far gone. I actually used to enjoy all his music from that time including the other mixtapes you said, just didn't know they came out before so far gone.
