Perhaps not always, but several have recently. Jason Levien, Lon Babby, Bob Myers are some of the names I remember that have made the switch.

Talk about moving to the other side of the table. You go from player rep to owner rep. Wow. I guess he'll have a lot if secrets to tell about how much players will settle for and who wants to play where

This is like a defense attorney becoming a prosecutor. He knows defendant secrets

Seems a lot of people benefiting from Morey's moves.

    Good for them.

Trying to steal Asik from us. I hate the Jazz so much I hope we don't trade him to them. I would really hate to see them get better.

Yeah, HeyPee, it's like a state executive moving to a position with a big contractor that does big business with the state. The fellow knows just what the state needs and can practically write a winning bid for his new employer, all the while enjoying his much higher salary. Happens all the time.

nice analogy. 'cept they wouldn't, of course, allow the former defense attorney to prosecute his former client in the middle of the case.

in the NBA, where intentional losers reap the best draft picks, ethics is foreign territory.

They probably just want to tap into all the player knowledge he gained from his agency. And the guy is probably good with players, and likely knows the CBA very well.

As for Asik, don't see a connection. In fact, it could backfire. His new agent may not want to do business with the old one. And Asik doesn't have the power to force a trade, so Morey has no incentive to deal with Utah if he doesn't want to.

Asik for Enes Kanter and a few draft picks.

Enes is still a young guy with ton of potential and Utah would get a solid Center who can defend.

Not sure why we would make a move for kanter. I do like 3 way swap in which asik goes to Utah, kanter and Tjones go to the Bucks and ersan ilyasova and a GS future 1st comes here.
