I think D-Mo will be a better player this year. I mean he started games as a rookie, yeah he struggled, but that's what you expect for a rookie. I'm sure he learned from his mistakes from last year and will be a better player this year. I won't be surprised if he starts this year next to Dwight. Dude got huge.

Not a good first quarter if you wanted to watch DMo play, but if you wanted to tune in to watch Valanciunas take over a game then you are doing well.

Yup, the only way he's getting the ball in the post is if he gets an offensive rebound, his team just won't post him up for some stupid reason.

Really don't understand why Lithuania scheduled all these preparation games against so many weak opponents. Why bother with the Bobcats and Suns of Europe?

I guess it's more of a tradition to start the preparation game cycle with easy opponents to build that winning mentality and good team atmosphere. They usually leave the best opponents for the middle and late stages and after that they play the final match with another weak team like Iceland or Georgia.

Because they scheduled 12 games and first of them are just to see and get a feel of all 15 candidates. The wouldn't be any surprise if we see couple of players released from team after this game. Once coach decides of final lineup there are better teams like next with Republic of Macedonia, Italy, Greece, Bosnia & Herzegovina to prepare for EC.

From what i have seen of D-Mo, he has a little bit of an inconsistency problem.

Valanciunas just accidentally tripped D-Mo after his dunk, hopefully nothing serious.

He's being misused. The stupid zone defense they use makes his weakness of being out of position even worse and they don't ever post him up.
