If you mean prime T-Mac then you must be crazy. People forget just how good he really was. It's easy to forget how excited everyone here was when he came because it is overshadowed with so much disappointed that followed for years.

you really need to understand the new CBA and all the financial implications and ramifications OKC would have to face had they kept harden.

if you understood the CBA and the money aspect and tax aspect, you would think twice about keeping harden if you were okc.

Everyone from the fans to the FO and owner in OKC probably regrets that decision. But it really comes down to a single question - "who could have known?". Has there ever been an NBA dynasty built around 3 wing players? Probably not. But would it have worked? Perhaps.

And we still haven't seen Lamb play on a regular basis. If he can be 75% as effective offensively off the bench as Harden was and better defensively it won't be as terrible of a move. It can be even better if Adams can contribute. Right now we are winning big but Harden was likely never going to be as productive on that team as he is with us so Lamb/Adams don't have to be as good as he is for it to almost even out for OKC while saving money at the same time.

Do you mean constantly injured and a cancer in the locker room? Sure, it could happen, but I hope it doesn't.

In terms of raw talent and ability? Nope.

In terms of impact? Maybe yes.

Harden's foul drawing and efficient shot taking makes up for T-Mac's superior ability IMO. Defensively, a locked in T-Mac is better than Harden but both haven't really shown consistent effort on that end.

Personally I hope OKC pins their hopes on Lamb off the bench.

I think we are all in agreement with that comment about how good McGrady was, its the reason most are so disappointed with what was between his shoulders. I think most also agree that lamb will never be close to McGrady, the one that avge 25+ points and seemed to be as good as Kobe on the offensive side (SEEMED, until he would break a finger nail and She-Mac would make an appearance).

My post is not only directed at you, but people have high hopes for a rookie who couldn't get minutes on 2 different teams. Steve Smith and Jimmy Jackson were very solid players.

I never got the argument that is is better to have another player join you, than to join another player.

People bash Lebron because he joined Wade at the Heat, but to me it is not worse for Lebron to join Wade than if Wade joined Lebron. it just depends on which team is more capable.

Oh the Clutchfans end of the bench fascination continues...

Look, I liked Lambs game when he first came to the Rockets through the draft and thought he could have been one of the few bright spots on a bad/young team before the Harden trade.

But lets not get carried away here with the comparisons. Just look at his D-League performance. He's clearly more talented than d-leaguers, but didn't show nearly as much as a true NBA star would have down there. If Terrence Williams was averaging triple-doubles, I don't think that bodes well for Lamb as a star player based on his college & d-league career.

Had he been on a good fit his first couple years in the league (like last years Rockets team pre-Harden) he could have performed on the level of a Kerry Kittles type of SG. With OKC now, he's at best going to be a role player playing off of 2 great star players... he'll find his way into the lineup as a role player, but he's never going to be a star player.

And yes we can fully analyze the Harden trade now. Harden is already an all-star, and was the #1, #2, and #3 reason why Dwight Howard came to Houston in FREE agency. Jeremy Lamb would have to be the second coming of Jordan and Steve Adams would have to be the New Zealand version of Yao Ming to make any sort of argument that the Rockets did not win that trade.

You guys are crazy, I know a lot of people here dislike McGrady but no way. On just a talent perspective, no way Lamb is even close. McGrady was a complete player on offense, a triple threat.
