Ha, I was hoping that slip-up went unnoticed. Of course you don't need alcohol for that activity. Perhaps I was trying to suggest that alcohol loosens their inhibitions?
As if FIFA couldn't have botched things any worse... I swear if I see that f***ing robot during the World Cup, I'm going to break my tv.
Leroy, Fox has the soccer channel though, even though I think ESPN would be better for spreading the word to the general masses. DD
I don't think I've ever watched a World Cup on an American network. I've watched the last 3 on Univison and tried to watch some on ESPN last year but the play by play was HORRIBLE.
FSC is nice for league games. Maybe the quality will be better by 2018. Fox has a bad habit of stripping any class and tradition out of the large events it handles. I really don't want to hear Joe Buck call the final.
1) Univision is an American network. 2) The Spanish rights have reportedly gone to Mun2, maybe it will be more available by 2018, but as of now it's not available to many people. As long as Fox doesn't broadcast games on Fox Soccer+ it doesn't bother me too much, but I do think ESPN would be better.
My Preference was the Mickey Mouse channel first, NBC Universal, and then FOX. I don't really care too much about FOX's production. ESPN/ABC was on point with their 2010 coverage. I was excited to see NBC and NBC Sports get MLS coverage. The only one positive might be GUS JOHNSON.
I guess to clarify I mean American/English speaking network. Because of the amount of games the first couple of weeks Fox will have trouble managing the schedule against their regular programming. I expect games to be on FX but what other network do they have? They will have to make a streaming website ala Univision
All of these games will probably shown live, and when I mean live, I mean 7 or 8 in the morning. The only play one game at a time, except the last pool play game. They'll have to go to multi channels. What is there to show on FOX in the morning other than the news?
Telemundo really? I liked watching it on Univision since 02 because they had Telefutura, Galavision, and Univision.
FIFA looking worse for their choices of late... FIFA asks Russia to explain anti-gay laws Add to it that the Fox Soccer Channel will be long gone by then (changes to FXX on Sept 2) and you just have to continue to shake your head at FIFA and Sepp Blatter.
Some games and events from Fox Soccer like UEFA Champions League and CONCACAF Champions League will be on the New FOX Sports 1 network.
So, Jozy Altidore. 5 straight games. Hat trick against a pretty good European team on the road. Does he still suck?
