I agree. I do think Manziel would benefit from a father who didn't seek to blame the university, though...a guy who could shake him and teach him through this. He lost me entirely at the, "I bought him a Mercedes so he wouldn't be tempted to do something wrong and buy it himself." Awesome parenting and character development, Dad. But I agree with you entirely...that article looks like someone just wanted an excuse to use their Ancestors.com account. If I were judged by what some of my relatives did, I'd be in big trouble.
But you kind of open the door to that when you use the hereditary money as the resource to fund your numerous public displays
Family history like that kind of matters. From the sounds of people that actually know Johnny, or say they know him, not the highest character guy apparently.
Lol. You're delusional if you think they are forgeries. A&M / his lawyers would have came out and said that they are fake by now if they knew Manziel didn't sign it.
Why exactly would they make public all their arguments when the NCAA investigation is ongoing and they do not yet know what the NCAA's position is? You may not be delusional, but you'd make an awful lawyer.
His lawyer already admitted that Manziel has signed a ton of signatures. If he was gonna use the forgery argument, he wouldn't acknowledge that Manziel has signed a large number of items. His stance is that there is no proof Manziel accepted money for anything he signed. On top of that, I've personally seen a picture of a large signing Manziel/Uncle Nate has been involved in. All I'm saying is the forgery theory is a dead end; it's obvious he signed them. Now proving he got paid will be a little more difficult.
No...it's obvious he signed some things. The newspaper in San Angelo interviewed an autograph dealer who said there is a ton of fake Manziel stuff out there. Now you have dealers coming out of e woodwork claiming to have stuff he signed by the thousands. Given the high dollar amounts they could sell that stuff for and the fact that there is software out there to replicate the signatures...and you aren't at least a little suspicious as to their motives. Odd.
So companies like JSA/PSA who authenticate this stuff as a business and have authenticated all those Manziel items can't tell a software is replicating a signature? Yeah not buying it.. They could have plenty of motives. Maybe some of them thought it was an exclusive signing and realized it wasn't. Maybe its cause Manziel's lawyers have been pushing to get alot of the stuff removed off eBay. They paid Manziel for the goods and now they can't sell it? That would piss them off easily. Maybe they think if they start talking to the media, someone from the Manziel family will pony up some hush money. Also read that eBay was suspending accounts for two weeks for selling "Johnny FootbalL" related stuff, for a large memorabilia company that sells a ton of items and a small percentage being "Johnny Football" goods, they could be missing out on some good money if they're not allowed to sell for two weeks. Not that hard to find a possible motive for the dealers. They seem like scumbags for sure, but if they paid for all these goods that they can't sell, they are going to want to make up for their loss.
I have read every article I can find on this. Nowhere have I seen anybody indicate that all 4,400 items from all four alleged signings have been in any way authenticated.
Never said I was. I just said that there has been no report that 4,400 alleged items had been authenticated. That in no way requires me to be an authentication expert. It merely requires me to be able to read. That is something you might want to try since you stated that my post said something that it clearly did not say.
No report; but if you know how to scrape / check JSA/PSA databases, the number of Manziel autographs are fairly larger than 4k. For the sake of argument though, even 2k is a ridiculous amount to come in from one lot, and JSA/PSA has publicly commented that those are authentic.
http://www.ajc.com/feed/sports/college/if-johnny-manziel-signed-bulk-autographs-was-he/fT29C/ Not 2k but 999+ 248.. So still kind of hard to explain him doing 999 signings in a row for free and then 248 again. The link references what I was talking about though.. There was a thread on TexAgs showing that many other players had a large number of autographs authenticated in sequential batches on ebay as well. The thread got removed or maybe its moved to the Aggie section.. I will check later tonight; but Manziel was the highest out of all players...If he really didn't do it all he has to say was "I didn't do it." Or A&M could back him up too.. Like other schools have done.
http://www.psacard.com/DNACert/ R82231-R82499 are also all Johnny Manziel.. That's another 268... We can do this all day but point is if someone wants to check the whole databaase, it's gonna be more far higher.
