I can't voice my opinion? I own a 360 and ps3, unlike the majority of posters on here. I find it amusing at what lengths some people will go to, to hype a product. The ps4, xb1 and wiiU are all HDMI only, so naturally the hdmi cable is included. It's like saying, oh wow! it included a power cable! Come on guys, let's get hyped!
If they could just stop with the "exclusive" titles and port those over to the PC, then I wouldn't buy a console at all.
Microsoft should sack everyone involved in the marketing and decision making that happened before all of these back flips. XBox just needed to not **** up their console unveiling to go one and probably win this round of the console wars and instead they went out and did everything they possibly could to horrify gamers. It looks like they are finally back on the same level at the next PS now, few if any restrictions, none of the always online, always watching, always listening garbage. I think the ship has sailed though. What would have been an easy choice for me (Just because Im used to the Xbox) is now not clear cut.
XBox One has now become awesome. Sure people will still complain about XBoxLive requirements, but most everyone who owns a 360 has Live because that is a big part of what made that system great. Price and exclusives are the only reason to go with PS4 now, IMO.
Totally agree. IMO, if you were an Xbox 360 type of guy before, then you now have no reason not to be an Xbox One type of guy after.
I personally think it sucks that developers might not take full advantage of the kinect now...that hardware has some potential.
I think PS+ is being severely underrated here. Fix the DL speeds and its pretty much on par if not a better deal than XBL. Cheaper, free games, discounted games, not a ton ads, dont need it to use other apps, etc... o MS has flip flopped more than John Kerry ever has, and IMO still cant be trusted.
Yep, MS has really done a "180" with the system. Would have been nice if they had this all when it was unveiled, but better late than never. Even things like including a headset with the console is really nice. I'd still prefer a few more tweaks (still improve indie support some more, remove XBL Gold requirement for 3rd party services, etc.), but it is much more "level" now between it and the PS4. A $399 XBO (sans Kinect) would be nice. Being more expensive yet less powerful (compared to PS4) isn't an ideal combination, but doing something like that could help sway sales their way among certain types of gamers. Otherwise, the two systems are very similar in what they offer, so it just comes down to exclusives and services (as mentioned before). XBL seems to be getting on the PS+ bandwagon, though it remains to be seen whether it will be as good (or even if PS+ will continue to be as good as it has been). I hope so since this kind of service is awesome for gamers.
I've always seen Kinect as a gimmick. The hardware might be powerful, but its like 3D at movie theaters. Developers/Directors will tend to overplay the feature and make it cheesy or just downright stupid. I wouldn't mind purchasing a Xbox One at $400 without a kinect, until that happens I'm not buying a console period.
At first glance, I vomited a little. Then I got the context. I like what the one is doing now, but I don't know if my friends are going to come back since they preordered ps4's after the E3 disaster. If Titanfall is not an exclusive for very long, I might get the ps4 too. I will miss my gamerscore.
I wish they hadn't taken away family sharing. Single most important feature missing now for me and it's gone because people cried about it.
Unless you were really happy with something like a 60 minute trial you could share with friends (but only 10 of them), I wouldn't really worry about it being gone. edit: PS+ has a lot of games (most/all games?) with 60 minute trials IIRC, and no sharing required. MS could just do the same...call it Family Sharing, except we are all one big happy Xbox family.
Family sharing is back if you have Gold membership...even if you are signed in at a friend's house, your family members can play your games at home.
I think he was talking about the whole share a game with 10 other friends on your friends list (which they could play on their own consoles/accounts). Sharing games with other people in your household is nice, but not really different from current-gen (I think?).
I think they said it wasn't going to be 60 minutes and i hope they don't release a sku without kinect. http://kotaku.com/rumor-about-xbox-one-family-sharings-downsides-has-fla-534484570 its good to know the entire base of your console will have the kinect that way developers are more inclined to produce content for it and things like skyping with friends won't be an issue.
I was referring to family game sharing where you could add up to 10 family members or friends to a list where they can access your game library. As far as I know, that isn't part of the Home Gold subscription, or at least not yet. I don't live in the same city as my family anymore, so it was a feature I was looking forward to. Hopefully they'll bring it back one of these days. I'll take the feature, even if it has its 60 minute limit.
